Problem Statement
Mr. Kenny is the CEO of the Indian based startup company Symantec.
Recently ,he witnessed a huge nationwide success and Mr. Kenny
wishes to establish his company in 4 countries namely India, Syria,
Russia, Canada. In order to achieve this he planned to have a network
frame designed and implemented in all these countries unanimously
for which he hired a team ProGen to implement their models at all
levels of network hierarchy. He set up a meeting for us along with
board of directors to explain the scenario and his requirements.
Objective
➤ To implement various switching and routing
technologies.
➤ To explain the implementation of network infrastructure
of MNCs.
➤ To ensure secure communication amongst various
departments of the organisation.
➤ To maintain redundancy in the network of the
organisation.
➤ To design and implement a network in such a way that
while troubleshooting the administrator work remain
minimal.
Scope of the Project

Our project is about designing the network of an MNC. This

will help the budding startups to expand their working area
from local to global level. The scope of the project is to
reduce configuration complexity. To provide the security by
implementing various security concepts such as
NAT,ACL,etc. Designing networks and implementing them
will make us a better network engineers.

Motivation
Networking technology is transforming industries, and as students we
are finding ways to better use it in practice. It is impossible to imagine
this age of industrialisation with the absence of discovery of network.
Industries are getting more and more dependent over network. We will
use the help of various routing and switching technologies to
demonstrate this project to learn and move forward in the domain of
NIS to escalate in our respective carriers.
Methodology
● Research:
○ Communicate to local Network Administrators
○ Gain intel on their network model and word of advice
○ Refer to various books and research papers
○ Watch online lectures to strengthen our concepts

● Analysis:
○ After gathering information, we’ll analyze it, if it is feasible to implement in the
project or not.
○ If feasible, then determine the extent of implementation of that data/concept
according to project requirements.

● Exercise:
○ To unleash our maximum potential to implement the concept analysed in the
most efficient manner by the means of practising the same.
● Design:
○ To design the infrastructure of our network model

● Implementation:
○ To implement the concepts according to our design in the most efficient
manner

● Verification:
○ To verify the desired network functionalities are implemented.

● Troubleshoot:
To rectify the model, if any network functionalities are not
implemented in the desired way.
