•H01: Lack of awareness and understanding of plagiarism influence
accounting students plagiarism at AUM.

The statistical analysis is divided into three sections:

Conclusion
1. Female students plagiarize more than male students which is a difference from the previous researches
results that was “male students are more likely to engage in plagiarism”

2. Students that are at their first year till third year engage in plagiarism more than students at their last year
(fourth year)

3. Students that have poor performance are more likely to plagiarize than students that have better
performance range between good to excellent

4. All of factors that was suggested in the hypothesis was found to be related to plagiarism.

Recommendation

• First, academic staff during different courses that they teach to students
may motivate students’ ethical behavior and values Forensic accountants
• Seconds, some students find it hard at beginning to integrate in their
educational life and some other students would find it hard to maintain
good work as the requirements change from first year till graduate year
so academic staff may help to create encouraging environment that help
students to be more integrated into their educational life Increase
• Third, according to lack of command of English language, the university
may do additional English language courses for students that have a
belief that they are in need
Recommendation

• Fourth, in order to increase awareness among students about plagiarism especially at


their first years of academic learning, courses that include project staff may inform the
student what is plagiarism, what is the constitute of the plagiarism
• Lastly, students should not take the pressure as a justification to do academic
misconduct, but they should take it as a challenge that encourage them for
improvement that they will benefit from by having different new skills
