Ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg
implanted and grew outside the endometrium of the uterine cavity. Most ectopic pregnancies are impaired located in the tuba (90%) mainly in the ampulla and isthmus. Possible circumstances of ectopic pregnancy are pelvic inflammatory disease, antibiotic use in pelvic inflammatory disease, use of intrauterine device IUD (Intra Uterine Device), previous ectopic pregnancy, infertility, contraceptive use of progestin and abortion. Symptoms that occur in ectopic pregnancy are impaired depending on the location of the implantation. With implantation can increase vascularization in place and potentially cause organ rupture, massive bleeding, infertility, and death. This may lead to an increase in maternal mortality and morbidity if not treated promptly and quickly.
