Approaching KLAS
► APCH will vector over KHND, and the to approach
end of runways 25L/R at 4500‘ (not lower!!).
 Hint – load this waypoint into your GPS
(N36 04.4, W115 11.8)]

► Visually the LUXOR (pyramid shaped hotel) is directly


at the other end of 25L/R and has a large light beam.

► Depart heading 010 – i.e. downwind for 19R/L.

► Be careful to follow all instructions, especially if


they're busy.

► If you are given 19R, make sure you land on the


Runway. There is a taxiway that is as large as the
runway

► The two FBOs are on the west side of the airport
► They'll waive the expensive parking fee if you
purchase enough of their expensive avgas.
► Pay attention to ATC and do what you’re told.
► Get familiar yourself with the landmarks noted on
the chart, as they may use them and they don't
have much free time for step-by-step instructions.
► You’ll need a clearance before you call ground to
taxi out – “B” airport …
