This case study is an attempt to bring forth and analyze the success story of
Hotel Jaisalkot.

the hustle bustle of the city. Jaisalkot
comprises of 25 acres of land and is
enclosed within a strong and majestic
fort. The ambiance is that of a lost world
of royalty – quiet and elegant.
◦ Jaisalkot offers its customers, what no
other property can – a chance to go back
in time. Jaisalkot is one among the best
hotels in Jaisalmer.

METHODOLOGY :
Interview conducted with Hotel Owner and Director of Revenue Sales and Marketing.
Following are the points and interpretations noted from the interviews:

◦ We believe that it is essential to be a good corporate citizen. Along with being sensitive to the environment, promote reuse, reduce
and recycling, we will serve the community that sustains us.

 Jaisalkot is a newly constructed hotel which came into existence in 2015.

 Implementation of GST has added value to the revenue and enabled transparency in the transactions of the hotel which is beneficial
to both the customers and the hotel.
Struggling scene in hospitality industry in India due to non-hoteliers making hotels and making things
difficult for others.

Huge gap in demand and supply as there is tremendous growth in supply but the demand still moving at a
slow pace.

The Director left his job in ITC to join Hotel Jaisalkot because he believes It’s all about how you take new
responsibilities and challenge. Job guidelines were fixed in ITC but working culture in hotel Jaisalkot is much
more open and proactive. One have options in terms of exploring the things and scope of work is much
broader and full of responsibilities. This leads to a better growth of an employee in the industry.

There are many eco-friendly measures taken by the hotel like rain water harvesting, plantation and other
water saving practices.
Hotel Jaisalkot is very active in charity work which shows they want to give back to the society.
Associated with SOS Jaipur which is a NGO working for development of orphans, women and
vulnerable families.

Jaisalkot carries out various activities for improving Employee morale like Team building exercises.

Future plans of hotel - extention of rooms and ballroom

Limited business due to less demands.


Hotel prices need to be regulated due to less demands and competition.
