“DNA is a molecule that carries the genetic instructions used in the
growth, development, functioning and reproduction of all known living
organisms and many viruses“, (Wikipedia). A cultural DNA is a collection
of genetic instructions used in the growth, development, functioning and
reproduction of any culture. Whenever a group of people are together
they form a culture. The group establishes some unwritten rules called
norms and the members start to develop a common set of values that
over time defines how things are done in that particular group.

 A major part of assessing the underlying components of culture is

called cultural due diligence and the product of a cultural due diligence
process is the cultural DNA. Over the past 12 years Gugin has developed
a cultural due diligence process that produces a cultural DNA with 16
different components – 16 different tangible elements in the cultural DNA,
that combined describes the intangible, fluffy culture of an organisation.

organization.
 The questionnaire consists of 16
questions.
 Each question has two situations,
current and future.
 The questionnaire was taken to the
employees working in organization as
part of the Airtel Culture survey carried
out by the Airtel HR team under the
supervision of Vishal sir.
 The employees were briefly explained
the purpose of the survey and they gave
scores to the set of questions based on
their own experience.
 The main goal is to collect the data from the
questionnaire and analyze it to calculate the
deviation in the present and the future
situations.
 This would help the HR team to understand
where more effort and attention needs to be
devoured to maximize the efficiency at wok
place which would benefit both the
employee, so he’s satisfied and in turn the
organization gets benefitted my maximizing
the sales and increasing the revenue.
Result of Survey
It was found that the
employees voted ‘REACTION
TO CHANGE’ with the
highest standard deviation.
This means that people in
organisation are satisfied with
the work environment and
don’t want the present
conditions to change that
much in the future.

‘WORK ENVIRONMENT’
was voted having the least
standard deviation. Which
means the employees feel that
at AIRTEL, the work
environment is favorable and
employees get freedom to
work as per their will and
comfort level..
The research was conducted by taking the
questionnaire to the employees and taking their
opinions and then the data was used in Excel
and statistical tools were applied to calculate the
deviation in present and future situations.

I first found the average of each situation based

on 100 respondents and then used ‘STANDARD
DEVIATION’ to find out the deviation in the
present and the future situation.

 The industrial training that I had already gone through at Bharti
Airtel was very interesting and instructive. It gave me lots of
benefit and positive changes that enable me to enter the working
environment. Through this training I was able to gain new
insights and more comprehensive understanding about the real
industry working condition and practice. The days of my training
