History
Atlas Honda (AHL) is a Pakistani motorcycle
manufacturer owned by Atlas Group and Honda Motor
Company and based in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan since
1962.
1963 - 1973 The Decade of Progress
 The Company named Atlas Autos Limited signed
Technical Assistance Agreement with Honda Motor
Company Limited that took place in Tokyo in 1963.

 In 1965 Atlas Autos Limited became the first two


wheeler company in Pakistan to get listed on stock
exchange.

 Company launched a series of models. Honda C 50,


Honda C 90 and S 90 gained immense popularity
among the customers.
• In 1968 Mr. Ayub Khan, then President of
Pakistan, visited the plant.

• In 1969, an in-house engineering work shop is set


up in Karachi and Company’s dream of
developing a completely localized product takes
its first step.

• Company launched two of its longest running


and most popular production models, the fuel
efficient CD 70 and high performance CG 125.
Due to their unique features, these models
became the Company’s flagship products.
1983 – 1993 The Decade of Innovation
 New Honda CD 70 with econo-power engine is
launched and becomes an instant hit

 CG 125 engine parts manufacturing plant is


installed at Sheikhupura and new model of CG 125
is launched.

1993-2003 The Decade of Competition


 The Company receives ISO 9002 certification for
both Karachi and Sheikhupura plants.

 The Company receives Excellence Award from the


Employers’ Federation of Pakistan for being among
top ten companies for its human resource and
industrial relation policies and practices.
2003 – 2013 The Decade of Growth
 The Company enters 100cc category market with the
launch of the Honda CD 100
 The Company received the “Best Corporate Report”
Award in 2003 &2004
 The Company expands the dealership network to
beyond 500 sales dealers
 Atlas Honda becomes the first motorcycle company
in Pakistan to have all its models compliant with
environment friendly
2013 to date
A new stylish looking 70cc model called “CD Dream” is
launched.
CBR150 and CBR500 was launched in Pakistan.
Company launched CB125F, a 5 gear self start
motorcycle with 125cc OHV Engine in 2019.

Competitors
• In Pakistani motorcycle industry Honda is the leader. Although are several brands
of bike available in the market yet many of them haven’t gained recognition
among people.
All these exist in different segments of the market.

 Yamaha: The second largest selling brand in Pakistan. Popular in villages, it is


considered to be durable and a smooth driving bike on rough roads

 Suzuki: The third largest selling brand in Pakistan

 Sohrab: It’s low price has rapidly increased it’s demand over the years.
