 “Millefiori“ tehnika datira iz drevnih
feničanskih, aleksandrijskih i rimskih
vremena, a svoj vrhunac doživljava u 19.st. u
Italiji, Engleskoj i Francuskoj kroz
proizvodnju briljantnih valjčića i čuvenih
venecijanskih „murina“. Tradicionalni motivi
su cvjetne rozete, no danas umjetnička
sloboda stvara i druge vrlo raznolike, čak i
apstraktne motive koristeći pritom ne samo
staklo, već i druge materijale kao što su
vosak, polimerske gline, silikoni. Formiranje
motiva i sitnih fragmenata koji
u svojoj kompoziciji stvaraju sliku, a potom
se peku, dugotrajan je i vrlo precizan rad
koji zahtijeva veliku maštovitost, strpljenje,
praksu i umijeće.
Nina Elezović Šimunović je slobodna
umjetnica šoltanskog porijekla, akademska
slikarica s diplomom Goethe instituta,
Dornach, Švicarska. Pored slikarstva, dizajna
i umjetničko-terapijskih radionica, kroz
posljednjih 15 godina, Nina je izradila stotine
lampi i ogledala u drevnoj “millefiori” tehnici
koje je izložola na dvadesetak samostalnih
izložbi , a njezine su lampe pronašle svoje

“Millefiori“ technique is known since ancient
Fenitian, Alexandrian and Roman times
reaching its peak in 19th century in Italy,
England and France through production of
brilliant roles and famous Venetian
“murinas”. Traditional motives are flower
rosettas, but today artistic freedom finds its
expression in many other diffetent , even
abstract forms using not only glass, but also
various materials such as vax, polimeric clay,,
sillicone. Creation of motives and tiny
fragments. that meeti in countless
compositions and images is a very long and
precise process demanding great
imagination, patience, practice and articraft
skills.
Nina Elezovic Simunovic is a freelance
Croatian artist, of Solta’s origin, a painter
with the diploma of Goethe Institute,
Dornach, Switzerland. Beside painting,
design and artistic therapy workshops,, over
the last 15 yeras she created hundreds of
lamps and mirrors in antient “millefiori”
technique that were exhibited at more than
20 exhibitions and which found its owners
all over the worrld.
