PHILIPPINE TOURISM

 The WTO states that


domestic tourists, or
persons travelling within
their own country, are 10
times as many as
international tourists
and, as a group, spend 7x
the amount spent by the
latter.

further divided into:
 A. Inbound tourist-

Types of Domestic Tourist

 1. Interregional - This type of traveller moves from


one of the regions to another.

 2. Intraregional – This type of traveller moves from


one province to another within one specific region.

 3. Local - This type of traveller is often classified as


an excursionist because of the assumption that
he/she will not need to stay beyond 24 hours in
his/her destination.

culture of the place.

5. SPECIAL INTEREST- attractions which give challenges and
satisfaction to the tourists. (Scuba-diving, Caving, Whale
watching, Bird watching, hiking, trekking/Mt. climbing)
