designers. These artists can be
found in a wide spectrum of
creative fields.
• Many are adapt with the use of
computer software to aid their
production. Their work is more on
collaborative and fast-paced.
• Today, most graphic artists create
using computer system. Their
sketches will almost be saved or
converted into digital file that
would manipulated and enhanced
using other computer programs

Layout Artists
- Graphic designers who are tasked to
organize the different elements of a
page like the texts, pictures and
drawings in a manner that it is
attractive and easy to understand.
- They are in charge of choosing the
proper text style and size, along with
the placement and sizes of the
different images.
- These artists work for both print and
digital versions of different
publications like newspapers, magazines
and books.

Advertising Designers
- In charge of creating promotional
items for comparisons. They can be in
forms of brochures, print,
advertisements and billboards.
- Can also be tasked to create logos
for companies.
- They work for an advertising agency
which often have a pool of artists
working together.

Computer Graphics
- Images created using the computer are
called computer-generated imagery
(CGI).
- Heavily used in games and animated
movies such as the ones produced by
Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney
Animation Studios, Dreamworks
Animation, Studio Ghibli, among
others.

DIGITAL MEDIA- content viewed using
electronic devices such as computers,
tablets, cellular phones, e-book readers,
and the like

It can also include videos, games, and

music that cannot be done in printed form.

GRAPHIC DESIGN- an art form that involves

visual communication through manipulation
of lines, texts, images and/or
illustrations.

Examples of graphic arts are logos, cover

designs, advertisements, layout designs,
web pages designs, brochures and
illustrations.
