INTRODUCTION
• Nowadays, almost all of the teens especially senior high school students are being
too involve in online games without knowing what will the effects of this to thier
health. Health is one of the most important to our selves because we only have 1
life. Online game is so popular that we can even see annual game tournaments
being organized around the world. It's not just that giving attention costs
addicted gamers thier relationships. Some of them talk so much about thier game
of choice to the exclusion of everything else that people no longer want to be
around them. They can't, or wont, engage in real world conversation or be a
source of support or encouragement to friends and family. Because thier friends
talk about other things, they begin to feel left out, which in turn causes them to
feel irritated or affended. It doesn't occur to them that they've chosen to be left
out by devoting all thier time to gaming.
• Moreover this lack of social interaction that result from absessive gaming can have long-term social
consequences. An addicted teenager wont develop effective social skills, which will difficult his ability to
develop and maintain healthy relationships in family and beyond. The social awkwaerdness created by the
isolationism of gaming addiction, unfortunately, feeds the addiction. The gaming addict will likely retreat
back to his online where relationships are easier and already waiting for him.

• Physical cosequences of gaming addiction include migraines, sleep disturbances, backaches, eating
irregularities, and poor personal hygiene. Some of the physical consequences of video game addiction can
lead to social consequences as well. For instance, an addicted gamer who loses sleep because he's playing so
much simply doesn't have the energy to invest in relationships. Lack of sleep may also make him irritable and
difficult to be around. And to ruin thier health status because of online games thier eyes will be damage
because of too much radiation.

• Radiation exposure during certain sensitive times of development, such as during childhood and puberty,
also has more health risks than the same exposures in adults. Exposure to a small amount of radon inside is
normal, but high levels can cause lung cancer. Random is the second leading cause of lung cancer (smoking
is the leading cause), and approximately 1 in every 15 houses have too much radon, (julie Bromberg and
Laura Covarrubias Mar 1,2014).
• According to the Anthropological study done by Goso, play is way for human to learn thier world
and culture. Through playing students do not learn only future adult skills but also gender
identification courge, trust among friends and cooperation (Gosso 200150.

• Yuma et al 1990) conducted an intensitive study in 9 cities in japan about the computer games
played by people and thier physical health. The result showed that abese students were more
attracted to computer games. In other words playing more computer games cause adolescents to
stay home, which load to thier lack of activity and getting fat.

• In the United Kingdom, the researcher done by David (2011) stated that the addiction in playing
online games is believe to drive someone to extreme circumstances so much so that from
evidenvce demontrated parents tend to believe that thier child is in a position where there health
and future is a worry. While the health could be an issue due to lack of exercise but failing to
adhere to education and lack of future job prospets has no strong solid evidence to indicate this is
true thus have no findings dont matter.
• There are many ideas lacking in the previous study about online
games. In the study those lacking will be accommodated with the
ideas and answer to the question marks on the head of the other
readers. And this study will help the next researchers to make a new
and good study to help even more the students an al the readers in
our society. The study will further give ideas and knowledge about
the effects of online games to the health of the gamers.

Gaston Park near St. Augustine Cathedral Church Liceo de Cagayan University is an autonomous and well
known University.

Research Design
Burns and Grove (2003) define a research design as “a plan that describe how, when and where
data are to be collected and analyzed. Politet., al (2001) define a research design as “the research's
overall for answering the research question or testing the research hypothesis”.
This research focuses the Descriptive Design will be employed using quantitative method.
Descriptive research design is a systematic technique that includes witnessing and describing
the behavior of a subject without manipulating it in any way.

• Research Respondents and Sampling Procedure

The data will be collected from 10 in every sections of Grade 11 SHS Department of Liceo de Cagayan
University-RNP Campus. The expected ages would range 16 to 21 years old. The researcher will use the Slovin's
Formula n=N/(1+Ne2) to determine the number of respondent in the study. The approximately number of
respondents using the above formula is 200. The researchers will use systematic sampling method during the
occurrence of the survey. Thus, the respondets will be questioned accordingly: Age, Strand, Gender (male and
female). The respondents as will answer various survey question in which it will linked to study of the researchers.
Therefore, the gathered data will determine the researcher's perception of the particular study.

Research Instrments
The main material in this study is the questionnaires are subjectuve questions that the respondent are free to
give thier own opinion. The questionnaires made by the researchers wew cheked by the research adviser and
grammarian to ensure the validity of the questions.
Validity and Reliability of the Instruments
To determine the validity and reliability of the research immstruments will be checked by the
research adviser, statistician and especially the grammarian and if thee is any comment and
suggestions will raised those will be applied to the study to make it reliable. And for the survey
questionnaires it must be answered honestly by the respondent without any doubt and
dishonesty,to make this paper reliable and successful. The result of the questionnaires will be
analyzed to determine if it will provide the data needed in the study.

DATA GATHERING PROCEDURE

Before the day the questionnaires will be disributed to the respondent of the study, the
researchers will ask permissionto the SHS principal of Liceo de Cagayan University and to the
teacher/s of each section. The time and date when be the floating questionnaires are given stated
to the letter send to the principal and tachers.
• During the day that the questioner are given, the researchs will enter
each room one by one and before all the researchers will greet
everyone in the classroom. the researchers will explain the directions in
answering the questioner and what it is all about.

And after of gatheringdata from the respondents, the researchers will

give some snacks like biscuits to say thanks for their support. And
before leaving the researchers would give thanks to everyone especially
to theteachers for letting them doing such.
