-eterinarian Deana Basar tested the EquiCrystal
blanket.
The test, taking place over the course of 14 days, was
conducted on a 17 year old Ônglo-Ôrabian mare. The
mare occasionally suffers from back pains, which was
the case during the test as well. The medical
examination determined back pain in the chest and
loin area, of equal intensity, and acute muscle spasm.
In addition to the medical examination, a thermal
camera was used prior to use of the blanket, and
after 1, 6 and 12 hours of exposure. Ô slight increase
in temperature was noticed next to the inflamed
area, with no impact on the surrounding, healthy
muscle tissue.
Ôfter a week of wearing the blanket 12 hours per day, a medical examination
determined that the muscle spasm had significantly decreased, and the
intensity of pain had been reduced by approx. 30%. Ôfter 14 days of
wearing the EquiCrystal blanket (12 hours per day), the pain had decreased
by approx. 60%.
The most common reasons why horse-owners turn to the help of veterinarians
are difficulties in warming up, stiff movements at the beginning of training,
poor flexibility on one side, and inability or refusal to perform certain
movements while riding.
Rehabilitation includes massage, acupressure, laser, therapeutic ultrasound,
electromagnetic therapy, stretching and exercise, as well as a custom
training program if required.
Treatments are conducted in intervals of 10-15 days because the body,

Born on mecember 2nd, 1965 in Zagreb, where she also completed High School of Veterinary Medicine
and graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. Since graduation until 2007, she
worked with small animals and as a nutritionist for dogs and cats. muring this period, she acquired
further knowledge by attending 28 professional seminars. Since 2007, she has been exclusively
dedicated to rehabilitation work with horses and house pets through her "Equus vitalis" Center. In
addition to working directly with animals, she has placed significant emphasis in her work to
educating owners and veterinary professionals. Up to now, she has held over 20 lectures 
demonstrations in Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, and has published some 30 articles in professional
and popular medical literature. She is a permanent expert associate of the magazine "Konji"
(Horses), as well as the Therapeutic Riding Ôssociation. In order to complement her holistic
approach, she completed further training as Reiki and 3rana healing therapist.
Back in 1975 she signed into the riding school at the Riding Club Zagreb, where she competed as a
junior in show jumping. Since then, horses have been part of her everyday life. She lives in the
outskirts of Zagreb with her husband, an Ônglo-Ôrabian mare, a goat, 3 dogs, a cat and a parrot.
