Green Revolution

“2nd Green Revolution” is the technological transformation of energy

production, distribution, and consumption to green, clean, and
sustainable methods taking place in the first half of the 21st century.
Global warming

Increase in the average temperature of Earth's near-surface air and

oceans since the mid-20th century and its projected continuation.

As per Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report, global

surface temperature increased 0.74 ± 0.18 °C during the 20th century.

IPCC report indicates global surface temperature likely to rise a further

1.1 to 6.4 °C during the 21st century.
Effects Of Rise In Temperature

0.8 °C - Ocean warming, Species extinction , Extreme weather events

1 °C - Island Nations Under Water

2 °C - Greenland Melts, Water Supply Affected.

3 °C – Environmental Refugees, Food Shortage

4 °C - Millions Of Refugees, 1/3 rd of Bangladesh under water

6 °C - Mass Extinction
Causes

Natural Causes (Release of methane gas from arctic tundra and wetlands
which is dangerous to environment)

Man-Made Causes (Fossil Fuels

generating CO2)

A number of nations approved an addition to the treaty: the Kyoto

Protocol, which has more powerful (and legally binding) measures.
