Attend review classes religiously. Topics which
are previously incomprehensible to you are
oftentimes being discussed in plain and simple
manner by reviewers. It will also help you
remember concept clearly.
REMEMBER THIS: Classroom discussion is
interactive and no amount of reading or self-
study can measure up the learning acquired
through interaction.

Organized and Comprehensive Notes
Some of the steps to attain this are:
s take notes in the class;
s upon reviewing of the notes, make your own
notations to set out your comprehension of the
topic; and
s research more on the topic to enrich your notes.
REMEMBER THIS: Your notes come in handy to
glance at than review handouts one or two weeks
before the exams. During this time, lazy reviewees
cram all their handouts just to meet the needed
reading.

As a reviewee, you must know the schedule
of review classes. If possible, ask the review
director or reviewer (especially an in-house
reviewer) of the syllabi of the subjects. From the
syllabus, make the necessary reading and
research.
REMEMBER THIS: Having read in advance,
you can ask questions to the reviewer on items
that you find difficult to understand.

÷roup Discussions
Indulging in group discussions will widen your
view on the subject matter. Things that
previously vague may be clarified by a member
of a group who happens to know the matter.
REMEMBER THIS: ÷roup discussion is not
limited to those attending. With today͛s mobile
technology, an unresolved topic may be
answered by a resource person (reviewer) from
miles away.

It is a fact that with proper planning, a goal

can well be attained. In your convenience, make
a daily, weekly and monthly plan of your study.
REMEMBER THIS: Avoid the habit of ͞I still
have time to study tomorrow.͟ Invest in reading
today because tomorrow is another investment.
If possible, read eight hours a day.

In making a schedule of studying, be sure that
it is not getting in the way with your sleep, your
health, your sports/recreational activities and
other routine tasks.
REMEMBER THIS: A schedule that runs
conflict with your routine will only result to a
waste of time gaining little.

This is a very old, and still effective way to
learn information that can be broken down
easily into bits. Two common mnemonics are
acronyms and acrostics.

!'4 The most common mnemonic used.
This is simply using the first letters of the words
to memorize. For example, POSDCORB is an
acronym for "lanning# rganizing# taffing#
irecting# -rdinating# .eporting and
udgeting

These are useful when you can't easily make
an acronym and there is a sequence you have to
learn, where the items must be in a particular
order. You take the first letter of each word of
the sequence and use it for the beginning of
words in a sentence you make up. In the primary
fingerprint classification, for example, to know
which number is numerator and denominator,
one must use this: eveumerator and
od enominator.
