Founded: 1580
Capital : Lingayen
Pangasinan is a major supplier in Luzon,
and a major producer of salt in the
Philippines. It has extensive fishpond,
mostly for raising bangus or “milkfish” along
the coasts of the Lingayen Gulf and the
south China Sea.
The major crops of Pangasinan are rice,
mangoes, corn and sugar cane.

also abundantly used
in creating this, and
the resulting flavor
makes Vigan
Longganisa unique.
8. INSARABSAB
Another must-try
grilled Ilokano
delicacy is
Insarabasab. Pork
belly or shoulder
pieces are marinated
overnight with
Sukang Iloco,
calamansi and garlic.
