Gospel Reading

John 3:7b-
15
Leader: Heavenly Father,
we praise and thank you
for this new day.

All: Empower us to spend

this day in your service
and to give our best in all
that is put before us.
Leader:
Grant us integrity, O
God, and the gentle
presence of Your Spirit of
Love.
All:
Bless our head so that all our
thoughts may be full of grace and
peace.

Bless our eyes that we may clearly

see your presence and your
Providence
Bless our ears that we may hear
the cry of the poor around me
and your voice in the reading of
Your Word.
Bless our lips that we may
proclaim the Good News, our
loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
Bless our feet that we may help
and heal lives that are broken and
to bring hope to those who are
wavering.

Bless our heart with warmth

compassion and generosity for
all who are in need.
Leader:
Before You, Giver of life, we
come in faith, in search of
knowledge, truth and
wholeness.
All: Be with us; hear us as
we pray: Our Father…
In the name of the
Father and of the
Son and of the Holy
Spirit. Amen

The Importance of Prayer in

Making Decisions
Anecdote

(Titus 1:15)

Remember,
to the pure,
everything is
pure but to
“Kuwan”
HOMILY
“Upang magtagal ang inyong relasyon,
kailangan mag-kuwan kayo palagi.”
(The couple looked embarrassed)

“Sa umaga pagkagising, mag-kuwan.

Bago kumain, mag-kuwan. Bago
matulog, mag-kuwan.”
The bride remarked in
embarrassment

“Father, mamamatay kami

diyan sa pinagagawa niyo”
No wonder we are confused.
No wonder we smile with
malice and embarrassment.
No wonder we define love
like it was taken straight from
a slum book.

My Story
Jesus walks on the Water

Matthew 14:26-27
When the disciples saw him
walking the sea they were
terrified. “It is a ghost”, they
said and they cried out in fear.
At once Jesus spoke to them,
“Take courage, it is I; do not be
afraid.”
Being overwhelmed
by the strong winds
and water and the
darkness of the night,
the disciples failed
the recognize Jesus.
Many times, we are
also overwhelmed by
these situations and
we can't see Jesus
amidst our problems
and confusion.
“Take courage,
it is I, do not
be afraid”
-In prayer, God also speaks
to us and through
continuosly developng our
prayer life, we also grow in
our relationship with God
which will enable us to
recognize God's presence
even in the darkest and
most uncertain parts of our
lives.
-In difficult times,
when fear is present,
throughout our life’s
journey, with God on
our side “there is
nothing we can’t do”.
-He is the source
of our help and
strength as we
call out to him in
prayer.

GAUDETE ET EXULTATE
- Pope Francis

“Be Holy,
for I am Holy”
To be Holy does not requires to be
a bishop, a priest or religious.
We are called to be holy by
living our lives with love and by
bearing witness in everything we do.
Are you called to consecrated life?

Be holy by living out your commitment with joy!

Are you married?
Be holy by loving
and caring your
husband or wife, as
Christ does for the
Church.
Do you work for a living?
Be holy by labouring
with integrity and skill
in the service of your
brothers and sisters.
Let the grace of your
baptism bear fruit in a path
of holiness.
This holiness to which the
Lord calls us will grow
through small gestures...
“Holiness is nothing
other than charity lived
to the full.”

MY COMMITMENT
TO HOLINESS...
The Broken Pot A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on an end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it,
and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the masters house, the cracked pot
arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his masters house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud
of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able
to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the
stream.
"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you."
"Why?" asked the bearer. "What are you ashamed of?"
"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your masters
house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts." the pot said.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the masters house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers
along the path."
Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some.
But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again the Pot apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pots side? That's because I have always
known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've
watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my masters table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not
have this beauty to grace his house."
Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all cracked pots. But if we will allow it, the Lord will use our flaws to grace His Father's table. In Gods great
economy, nothing goes to waste. Don't be afraid of your flaws.
Acknowledge them, and you too can be the cause of beauty. Know that in our weakness your strength is made perfect.
