Located in the heart of the Punjab, Shaukat khanum was founded by legendary captain of Pakistan's World Cupwinning cricket team and todays politician, Imran Khan. Shaukat Khanum has established itself as a centre of excellence providing comprehensive care free of cost to thousands of indigent cancer patients.

Shaukat khanum has certain measures to prevent different risks. Hospital is trying its best to minimize all the risks and they are successful in it to major extent

Doctors and Surgeons are also trying to their best to fulfill all the conditions to prevent all the Hazards and they also do their best in order to save the lives of their patients patients.

Risk Management In Hospital

 Identifying and analyzing situations or practices that create financial risk for the hospital and medical staff.

 Develop strategies to eliminate, avoid or minimize the risks providing a better environment in the hospital.

 To manage risks to the quality of services provided and the safety of patients, their carers and visitors.  To manage risks to the staff and subsequent risks to quality service.  To manage risk of falling to meet the national and local priority targets.  To manage risks to the efficiency of services.  To manage risks to the reputation of the hospital.

 They are responsible for the risk management within the scope of their departments.  Ensure that all the staff within their departments are provided education regarding policies procedures, any new processes.

Medical And Hospital Staff


They are responsible to acquire and maintain the knowledge and skills they need to care for patients. Staff educated patients and their families on responsibilities regarding safety. Staff are required to report errors and perceived risks once identified.

How Are Physicians Involved In Risk Management


 Early reporting and investigations of incidents that have the potential of liability exposure.  Collaborating with risk management on strategies to reduce risks.
