Andante -C.W.

von Gluck

From Psalm 104 O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being.

May my meditation be pleasing to you, O God, for I rejoice in the Lord. Bless the Lord, O my soul. Praise the Lord! Let us worship God!

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. But if we confess our sins, God who is faithful and just will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. In humility and faith let us confess our sin to God.

With new life all about us, O God, we still cling to old ways. In spite of your promises we seek self-assurance. You send the Holy Spirit to enliven our existence. The darkness of doubt dispels the new light the Spirit brings.

We are afraid to admit what it might mean if we surrendered our selves. So we continue to pursue our flights of fancy, and pretend that we can go it alone. Silent Prayer

God has mercy upon us and hears our confession. In Christ we have the assurance that we dwell not alone. All who approach God with a desire for wholeness will be filled with living waters, which the Spirit gives.

Be refreshed in your quest to do what is faithful, and be alive with the promise of Gods guidance and care. Thanks be to God; in Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

Since God has forgiven us in Jesus Christ; let us forgive one another. The peace of Christ be with you all. And also with you. (Worshippers are invited to greet one another with the words,The peace of Christ be with you.)

Give to my eyes, Lord, the blessing of seeing your face In all around me, the light of your glorious grace. Help me to see the needs of your people and be Ready to go, Lord, wherever your Spirit leads me.

Give to my hands, Lord, the blessing of doing your will, Bring your touch where its needed to soothe every ill. Help me to heal the pain of your people and be Ready to serve, Lord, wherever your Spirit leads me.

Give to my feet, Lord, the blessing of walking your way, Going wherever you lead me throughout the whole day. Show me the paths that lead where your people need me, Mine your own footsteps, wherever your Spirit leads me.

Give to my mouth, Lord, the courage to speak of your cross, Boldly proclaiming your death was a gain not a loss. That through your blood, true justice and mercy may be Building your Kingdom, wherever your Spirit leads me.

Give to my heart, Lord, the grace to rejoice in your love, Showing forgiveness and mercy and grace from above. That by your word Ill share in the joys you give free, Help me to go, Lord, wherever your Spirit leads me.

Jesus, Lord, take me, I offer my whole life to you And by my service Ill show that Im faithful and true. Help me to live and praise you; please Lord set me free That you may use me, wherever your Spirit needs me.

1. Like the murmur of the dove's song, Like the challenge of her flight, Like the vigor of the wind's rush, Like the new flame's eager might: Come, Holy Spirit, come.

2. To the members of Christ's body, To the branches of the Vine, To the church in faith assembled, To her midst as gift and sign: Come, Holy Spirit, come.

3. With the healing of division, With the ceaseless voice of prayer, With the power to love and witness, With the peace beyond compare: Come, Holy Spirit, come.

Q. 168. What is the Lord's Supper?

A. The Lord's Supper is a sacrament of the New Testament, wherein by giving and receiving bread and wine according to the appointment of Jesus Christ, his death is showed forth;

and they that worthily communicate, feed upon his body and blood to their spiritual nourishment and growth in grace; have their union and communion with him confirmed; testify and renew their thankfulness and engagement to God, and their mutual love and fellowship each with other, as members of the same mystical body.

Q. 169. How hath Christ appointed bread and wine to be given and received in the sacrament of the Lord's Supper?
A. Christ hath appointed the ministers of his Word in the administration of this sacrament of the Lord's Supper, to set apart the bread and wine from common use by the word of institution, thanksgiving, and prayer;

to take and break the bread, and to give both the bread and the wine to the communicants; who are by the same appointment to take and eat the bread, and to drink the wine; in thankful remembrance that the body of Christ was broken and given, and his blood shed for them.

All creatures your creator bless, And worship God in humbleness. O sing ye! Alleluia! Praise, praise Creator, praise the Son, And praise the Spirit, Three in One! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

With many voices we praise you, O God; in different ways we serve you. Take our diversity and mold it into a common theme of thanksgiving. Weave these gifts that we bring into a whole cloth of service that will blanket the world with your love as we announce with one accord your truth which sets us free. Amen.
