Concepts

Office direction
If there are direct voice path between local office and another office, the opposite office is the office direction of local office.

Sub-route
If there are direct voice path between two offices, there is a sub-route between these two offices.

Route
The association of sub-route from local office to another office

SS7 Trunk Group

SS7 trunks can be classified as

TUP ISUP

Important parameters for SS7 trunk

CIC (Circuit Identification Code)

Uniquely identifies the trunk circuit between two signaling points.

Master/slave

Preventing the two offices occupying the same trunk circuit at the same time. The office with larger signaling code usually controls the even CIC, while the other usually controls the odd CIC.

Parameter Description

Start circuit number, End circuit number

Unified logical numbers assigned in a particular FCCU/FCSU module to E1 trunk circuits The absolute value of the difference between the start circuit number and the start circuit termination identifier must be a multiple of 32, such as 0, 32, 64, and 96.

Start circuit termination ID

The identifier of the start circuit timeslot of a specified batch of trunk circuits in the resident trunk media gateway In UMG8900, use LST TDMIU to check this value.
