2. Knowledge Based Information System for Watershed Development & Management

PI: Co-PI: Dr.S.S.SHIRAHATTI Dr. U. Satish Kumar & Er. Premanand B. D.

Objectives:
Assessing, analysing and updating available information base from different sources. Development ,Validation and Dissemination of KIS through capacity building measures and demonstrations.

3. IMPROVEMENT OF WATERSHED PRODUCTIVITY AND FARMERS LIVELIHOOD THROUGH TECHNOLOGICAL INTERVENTIONS AND PARTICIPATORY APPROACH

Dr. U. Satishkumar (Principal investigator) Associate Professor and Principal Investigator Dr. P. Balakishnan ( Co- Principal investigator) Dean(Ag. Engg) College of Agricultural Engineering UAS Raichur

Objectives
To strengthen the rainwater harvesting measures and the management practices in watershed areas. To estimate runoff potential for developing recharging plans and management of groundwater resource To develop optimal conjunctive use plan using the water harvested through improved structures with groundwater for protective irrigation.

To carry out economic analysis of the measures planned and adopted.

Location
