RESULT
OF NATURAL CAUSES SUCH AS VALCANIC ERUPTIONM
MOST IS CAUSED BY HUMAN ACTIVITIES
TYPES OF POLLUTION
AIRPOLLUTION
WATER POLLUTION
NOISE POLLUTION
SOIL POLLUTION
AIR POLLUTION
Volcanoes also cause air pollution.
Air we breathe becomes polluted in various ways.
Fuel used for cooking giving rise to SO2 ,CO2,
etc.Motor vehicles , power plants also emit CO2, CO,
NO, SO2 etc.
Presence of SO2 and NO in atmosphere causes acid
rain.Oxides of N2,CO and chloroform carbons cause
depletion of ozone layer.
AIR POLLUTION
EFFECTS OF AIR POLLUTION
Solid wastes
Acid rain
INSECTICIDES AND HERBICIDES
FERTILISERS
The use of fertilizers to increase the crop yield
makes the soil either acidic and pollutes. For e.g
excessive use of ammonium sulphate fertilizer
makes the soil highly acidic.
EFFECTS OF SOIL
POLLUTION
Recycling
Preparation of compost
Incineration.
LANDSFILL
HOW MODES OF WASTE DISPOSAL
REDUCE SOIL POLLUTION
