RF Planning and Optimisation

Frequency Concepts- ARFCN Frequency, MAL, HSN and MAIO concept. Planning of various sites parameters such as BCCH frequency, Hopping frequencies for TRXs, neighbours etc.

Analysis of NPAR and KPIs viz. 24 hour reports for TCH congestion, SDCCH congestion etc..
Optimization of present network on parameters like electrical & mechanical tilt, LUT, azimuth orientation .

Studied all logical channels in air interface in detail.

Familiarity with MapInfo Software. Field Work Worked on customer problem resolution at IBS at Sakshi TV site and it was then converted to a full BTS site. Carried out Drive Test at Mahbubnagar and also resolved some customer problems by cable swapping, antenna rotations etc.

Highlights
Supported the MNP testing team with Database extraction for MT testing and supervising newly employed people for MO testing. Visit to Mahbubnagar- Customer Complaint Resolution and Drive test. Site visits provided an insight into the functioning of network and were helpful in clear understanding of theoretical concepts.

With the advent of 3G and LTE technology, customers using data services are going to increase manifold. These days high end users use smart phones having configurations and processor speeds in GHz. But it is virtually impossible to store huge quantities of data/install high utility softwares on phones having memory upto 32Gb Cloud Services for Internet are growing daily at unprecedented growth due to increase in data transfer rates across the globe.

Cloud Computing Service Agreements can be done with VAS third party vendors. Cloud service providers are increasing day by day in market so a strong company can take advantage of its existing technology and experience in the domain. Mobile data backup can easily be done on any third party server by using conventional HTTP protocol on mobile browser or any FTP session created temporarily. SaaS functionality can also be provided with the help of third party vendor Idea can hence get a early mover advantage in this multi billion market.
