The logic in typing the formula is: IF(condition,true part,false part) Lets take the table below. If we have MRP code F42 then we want to appear Solectron, if not, Not Solectron In cell C2 we type: =IF(B2=F42,Solectron,Not Solectron)

Copy -> Paste Special -> Values


To secure the results after applying a formula you need to Paste it Special as Values. In this way the results will not suffer if the source will change. Also the system speed will increase when working with heavy excel files.
