VISIONARY:-

He was a true visionary.When he started selling ready made garments then nobody preferred ready to wear shirts and trousers.Now his vision is serving Indian and society which is unchallenged.

RISK TAKER:-He tried out different things on

his own like ready made garments , textiles production , creating brands before he ventured in retail business of selling ready made garments. He took risk in doing something new every time.

Rise of Maverick

KB started his entrepreneurial career by selling stone wash fabric. This is where he made his first profit. He first launched brand of fabric named WBB, which enjoyed a short success. He then launched Pantaloon a retail venture dealing in mens wear. He then established a small fancy-yarn plant by the name of Dhruv synthetic in partnership.

Rise of Maverick

At the same time he took the distributorship of denims made by Arvind mills. Menz Wears private Ltd. Was incorporated in 1987. Its name was later changed to Pantaloon. First franchise of Pantaloon opened in Goa in 1991 by the name of Pantaloon shoppe. Pantaloon went public in 1992 and raised 225 lakhs.
