WHAT IS MAS?
Muslim American Society (MAS) is “a charitable, religious, social, cultural,
educational, and not-for-profit organization. It is a pioneering Islamic organization,
an Islamic revival, and reform movement that uplifts the individual, the family, and
the society.”

WHAT IS MAS MISSION?


“To present the truth of Islam to the public. In a time where Islam is constantly
misunderstood, we feel that it is our duty and responsibility to clarify these
misunderstandings and misconceptions. We are also here to serve our community,
so that we can make it a better place to live for our families and friends.”
WHAT ARE MAS OBJECTIVES?
To present the message of Islam to Muslims and non-Muslims
and promote understanding between them.
To encourage the participation of Muslims in building a virtuous
and moral society.
To offer a viable Islamic alternative to many of our society
prevailing problems.
To promote family values in accordance with Islamic teachings.
To promote the human values that Islam come to emphasize:
brotherhood, equality, justice, mercy, compassion, and peace.
To foster unity among Muslims and Muslim organizations and
encourage cooperation and coordination.

•Apply MAS mission and vision to develop our local


community in Syracuse.
• Launching and sustaining a strong youth program for
different age groups.
•Future plans to serve our community with a timeframe.
•Networking with MAS departments and 65 MAS chapters
across the nation to help develop our local community.
• Access to MAS national resources and expertise across the
nation, including MAS speakers and leaders, like Dr. Jamal
Badawi, Imam Siraj Wahaj…etc
•Working with each other in an open and clear environment
without any conflict. .
