How to check the status of the OSMU

Enter http://m2000ServerIP:8090/ in the address bar of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If a login interface is displayed, you can infer that the OSMU is started. Log in to the M2000 server through Telnet, and run the following command:
#ps ef | grep omc_control | grep v grep If there is no output, you can infer that the OSMU service is not started.

Starting or stopping Web services

Starting Web services

Log in to the M2000 server as user root #cd /opt/OSMU/omc_control #./start_om_monitor.sh

Stopping Web services

Data Clearance

Function description

Before the M2000 upgrade or on a specified site, you need to pay attention to the usage of disk space and database space. With the data clearance tool, you can clear junk files on the disk and in the database to ensure the normal and stable running of the M2000.

Clearing files: The M2000 searches the files in a specified directory and displays the files in a list. You can then select specified files to delete them. Cleaning up the database: The M2000 searches redundant and junk data in the database. You can then select the database for the M2000 to clean up.

Precautions

You can clear files and cleaning up the database as user omcuser. Read the impact on the M2000 carefully before you clear files or cleaning up the database. At present, only databases omcdb can be cleaned up.

Clearing Files

Files that can be cleared

Description
You can clear the remaining files of deleted NEs in the /opt/OMC/var/med directory. You can clear the performance export files and result files of invalid NEs. You can clear the files that contain the history event and alarm data exported from databases and exist in the /export/home/omc/var/DelUpLimitExport/FM directory. You can clear the NE backup data files that exist in the directory of the disk software management module but are not saved in databases. For example, the

You can clear the M2000 installation package in the /opt/OMC/software directory, the M2000 patch package in the /export/home directory, and the data files that are backed up and saved in the /export/home/bak directory before an M2000 upgrade. You can clear the performance result files that have been saved in the /opt/OMC/var/itf_n/FileTransferIRP/PM directory for more than 15 days after they were generated by the northbound CORBA interface. You can clear the files that contain the iSStar scheduled tasks executed seven days ago and exist in the /export/home/sysm/var/TimerTask directory. You can also clear the DebugTrace_*.ttx log files in the /opt/OMC/lib/iHFC directory.

Function description

When faults occur in the running of the M2000 and R&D engineers are asked to locate the faults, maintenance engineers can collect and download fault location information in specified scenarios on the Web GUI, and then send the information for R&D engineers to locate the faults.

The supported scenarios for fault data collection are the same as the scenarios required for the TraceCollection tool. Collected information can be downloaded.

Component Management

Function description
This function allows you to shield unused functions to reduce the consuming of system resources and ensure that the functions in use are not interfered by the faults occurring on other functions. M2000 components can be managed by WRAN, GBSS, CBSS, LTE, and core network. Browsing the status of M2000 components is supported.

Precautions
Ensure that the M2000 is installed. It takes a long time to start or stop M2000 components. Therefore, when you view the status of M2000 components immediately after performing the start or stop operations, the status may be Starting or Stopping.
