Why organise P&MS?

1. Campaign for Global Agreements


Goals: UNI P&MS organise P&MS in targeted multinationals in order to support the achievements of global agreements.

Strategies: Cooperate with UNI sectors such as ICTS, Finance, MEI, etc. Identify target companies with high proportion of P&MS Indepth corporate research in order to develop leverage

2. Organising and capacity development Goals: Mainstream P&MS issues in UNI Global Union; encourage sectors to address P&MS issues. Encourage UNI affiliates to step up recruitment efforts and increase levels of membership among P&MS. Encourage P&MS to become active organizers in multinational companies. Strategies Research and compile information about successful organizing and retention policies and issues of concern to P&MS. Assist UNI Sector Global Unions and affiliates to launch targeted organizing campaigns in selected multinationals. Support the creation and operation of P&MS structures in UNI regions.

Strategies Maintain an attractive and informative UNI P&MS website. Organise conference calls among Steering Committee members. Use Web 2.0 applications to improve information sharing and networking among P&MS affiliates. Link affiliates through Lotus QuickR (joint database).
