VOLVO:-
The Volvo Group has its origin in 1927 when
the first Volvo car rolled off the production
line at the factory in Göteborg.
Volvo’s business areas are –Passenger cars,
Commercial vehicles, Penta and Aero
products and Financial Services.
Volvo in India has its operations across
trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine
& industrial power systems.
Volvo operations in India & South Asia are
supported through a region-wide sales
service & parts network, covering over 150
points.
The production facility, established in mid-
1998, is located at Hoskote, near Bangalore.
Development and production take place in
Sweden, Belgium, Brazil and the USA, with
truck assembly operations in a number of
countries, both at our own plants and in
collaboration with locally-owned industrial
concerns.
They have eight assembly plants and eight
factories owned by local interests.
The manufacturing plant of Volvo is situated
at Dublin(USA) and Bangalore.
9 distribution centres.
The remanufacturing centre is situated at
Middletown, USA.

FOUNDRY:

Attaching to the underbody of the vehicle.
The underbody is composed of three primary
pieces of galvanized steel that include the
floor pan and components for the engine and
chassis.
Testing-dimensional and structural accuracy.
PAINTING AND FINISHING:-
Finishing is a multi-step process subdivided into 3
categories:
(1) Anti-corrosion operations, consisting of cleaning
applications, a phosphate bath, and a chromic acid
bath;
(2) Priming operations, consisting of an electro-
deposition primer bath, an antichip application,
primer-surfacer application and joint sealant
application;
(3) Finishing operations, consisting of a colour coat
application, a clear coat application, and any
painting necessary for 2-tone colour or touch-up
applications.
