This document is meant for some suggestion of different configurations for the E6474A system

~ Two CDMA phones only ~ Receiver only ~ One CDMA phone and One Receiver ~ Two CDMA phones and One Receiver
There are several ways to power up the Manifold Direct Connect Hub: 1. By Manifold Battery 2. By Cigarette Light Power 3. By Car Battery with Ignition Sense

1. By Battery: Manifold Hub on the mounting plate, with the battery connector (white in color, indicated in Green Rectangle) DO NOT apply any power to the MOLEX power connector (indicated in Red Rectangle) Remember DO NOT charge battery while the using the Hub during data collection

To Cig Light Adapter

2. By Cigarette Light Power: Manifold Hub removed from the mounting and the carrying bag, use the MOLEX power connector (indicated in Red Rectangle) You should able to locate a power cable with one end as a Cigarette Light Plug and another one is MOLEX connector, use it Connect this power cable to the MOLEX power connector of the USB Hub 3. By Car Battery Power: Manifold Hub removed from the mounting and the carrying bag, use the MOLEX power connector (indicated in Red Rectangle) You should able to locate a power cable with one end as a bare wire with 4 colored leads (Red, Black, White and Green) and another one is MOLEX connector, use it Connect this power cable to the MOLEX power connector of the USB Hub Follow the color by the label on the cable: Red -> +ve; Black -> Ground; White -> Ignition Sense; Green -> Not Used

To Car Battery and Ignition Sense

One CDMA Phone and One Receiver (Cont):

Press this button to check the power level of the battery, since the CDMA phone battery will be charged by the HUB, the low power level will yield to the CDMA phone beeping , and you will see the battery indicator on the phone blinking on and off. In this case, end the data collection, turn off the power and charge the Manifold battery

Remember E6473-60139 will occupy 2 ports, so the CDMA phone will need to connect to Phone 1 port

This shows the connection between the Receiver and the HUB. Remember this cable provide both receiver data and the power.

Fully Loaded System: For your information, the GSM Phone cable (E6473-60124) is for data and trace, so it will occupy 2 ports of the HUB. These cables will be swapped out by a GSM Manifold cable with 1 port only, so once you have these cables, you can construct the Fully Loaded System as below:
