3. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Business to business exchange of data (electronic data transmission) Features of EDI 1. It is used to exchange sales information between buyers and sellers like price quotations, purchase orders, invoices. 2. It uses Value Added Network (VAN) that act like the post office between the two exchanging entities. VAN can be a telecom company, industry group associations, companies that interact with its suppliers and retailers. 3. It requires special software for data interpretation.
