COMMUNITY HEALTH NURSING

The utilization of the nursing process in the different levels of clientele-individuals, families, population groups and communities, concerning with the promotion of health, prevention of disease and disability , rehabilitation and their needs.

HOSPITAL EXPOSURE The nursing informatics can be applies hospitals by means of medication and discharge instruction of the patient. It is also used for decision making by and for nurses and other hospital services.

EXPANDED ROLE
A clinical nurse specialist (CNS) is an advanced practice registered nurse, with graduate preparation (earned master's or doctorate) from a program that prepares CNSs. CNSs work with other nurses to advance their nursing practices, improve outcomes, and provide clinical expertise to effect system-wide changes to improve programs of care.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) - is an (APRN) who has completed graduate-level education .She treats both physical and mental conditions through comprehensive history taking, physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. She can diagnose the disease and then provide appropriate treatment for the patients, including prescribing medications.

A nurse midwife is an advanced practice registered nurse who has had training in obstetrics and works under the supervision of an obstetrician. Some nurse midwives can have their own private practice, but most work in hospitals, family planning centers, and the public health service.

A nurse educator is a nurse who teaches and prepares licensed practical nurses (LPN) and registered nurses (RN) for entry into practice positions. They can also teach in various patient care settings to provide continuing education to licensed nursing staff. Nurse Entrepreneur- a nurse who has an advanced degree, and manages health-related business. Nurse administrator- a nurse who functions at various levels of management in health settings; responsible for the management and administration of resources and personnel involved in giving patient care.

The integrated nursing curriculum includes both classroom and clinical content that are organized around a series of concepts that progress from simple to complex. In the block nursing curriculum, learning experiences are divided by content area such as care of individual , families and to the population as a whole.

TEACHING
-the profession of educating people about health. Areas within this profession encompass environmental health, physical health, social health, emotional health, intellectual health, and spiritual health. It can be defined as the principle by which individuals and groups of people learn to behave in a manner conducive to the promotion, maintenance, or restoration of health.

DISTANCE LEARNING
is a field of education that focuses on teaching methods and technology with the aim of delivering teaching, often on an individual basis, to students who are not physically present in a traditional educational setting such as a classroom. It has been described as "a process to create and provide access to learning when the source of information and the learners are separated by time and distance, or both.

FINAL REPORT
is the last document that contains complete information that is organized, narrative , graphic or in a tabular form as required basis. Reports may refer to specific periods, events, occurrences, or subjects, and may be communicated or presented in oral or written form.

RESOURCE
-is a source or supply from which an organization gains profit. Typically resources are materials or other assets that are transformed to produce benefit and in the process may be consumed or made unavailable.

SHARING RESOURCES
is a device or piece of information on a computer that can be remotely accessed from another computer, typically via a local area network or an enterprise Intranet, transparently as if it were a resource in the local machine. The shared resource is called a shared disk , shared drive volume, shared folder, shared file, shared document, shared printer or shared scanner.

RESULTS
-(also called upshot) is the final consequence of a sequence of actions or events expressed qualitatively or quantitatively. Possible results include advantage, disadvantage, gain, injury, loss, value and victory. There may be a range of possible outcomes associated with an event depending on the point of view, historical distance or relevance. Reaching no result can mean that actions are inefficient, ineffective, meaningless or flawed.

RESULT
-data received after processing a query. For example, when a user submits a search query in an online search engine, the online search engine will process the users query and generate search results usually within fractions of a second.

OBJECTIVE
-an end that can be reasonably achieved within an expected timeframe and with available resources. In general, an objective is broader in scope than a goal, and may consist of several individuals goals. Objectives are a basic tools that underlying all planning and strategic activities. They serve as the basis for policy and performance appraisals.

METHOD
A means or manner of procedure, especially a regular and systematic way of accomplishing something. - an established, habitual, logical, or prescribed practice or systematic practice of achieving certain ends with accuracy and efficiency, usually in an ordered sequence of fixed steps. --the end--
