Situation: A situation is a bundle of transactions that includes a mix of data, feelings, observation and reflections O: The optimist's yardstick is to analyze what made the situation. He believes that there always exist a few facts, which combine in particular order and generate an explosive mix called situation P: The pessimist's yardstick is based on the belief that the situation is the defining reality. He believes that since the situation has occurred, its consequences are inevitable, and, therefore, one must face the music.

Consequences: The difference in outlook, though small, defines the way in which one leads and reacts to life, or one defends and becomes a victim of life. O: The habitual optimist looks towards the day that must come after the night. Over a period, the optimists learn to look beyond the consequences and because of that develops the ability to control the consequences. P: The pessimist feels miserable about the inevitability of the autumn when the spring is still in full bloom. The pessimist continues to count the consequences. These consequences, he discovers do more or less always cause appalling damage, in the exact detail their intuition warned them against.

Root-Cause: It's all a matter of reaction. In the split-second between the situation and the reaction, the mind performs a Boolean processing, which is - does it hurt or not, is it difficult or not, should I say Yes or No. O: The answer is yes or positive, if you (the owner and programmer of the mind) believe that life is a continually folding experience and that everything is possible P: The answer is no or negative, if you believe that life is a predefined reality and that you were born to face the music.
