Symbian has a native graphics toolkit called AVKON(formerly called Symbian^3 include Qt Framework. Symbian^4 planned to introduce GUI library but however the idea was cancelled by NOKIA. As of 2010, the SDK for Symbian is standard C++, using Qt. Application development can either use C++ or QML. Apps can also be developed using Symbian C++, though it is nor the standard implementation. There were multiple platforms based on the Symbian OS that provides SDK. SDKs contains the necessary documentation, header file, and library files. Symbian OS9 uses a new Appliation Binary Interface (ABI) which needs a different compiler. Symbian C++ is usually done with the Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Symbian can also be programmed using Python, Java ME, Flash Lite, ruby, .NET, Web Runtime (WRT) widgets and Standard C/C++. Visual Basic programmers may use NS Basic. There is also a version of Boland IDE. Symbain OS development is possible also in Linux and Mac OS X. CDC apps can be created using NetBeans.
