BUSINESS RESULT
The lessons is planed according to the PPP model. Students are required to deduce grammar rules themselves using additional texts and dialogs in the section Language at Work prior to practicing the new forms. Explicit indirect grammar teaching For students who struggle with an inductive approach, each unit has a deductive grammar explanation in a Practice File in the appendix. There is an emphasis on form, meaning and use. (Language at Work)

INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS

The new verb form is presented in context -> Students can experience contextualized language (listening and reading selections, etc.) when learning grammatical rules. Explicit indirect grammar teaching There is an emphasis on form, meaning, and use.

Grammar are taught both on its own and integrated with other skills.

VOCABULARY

BUSINESS RESULT

Vocabulary building activities relied upon the text. Working with words introduce key vocabulary in a variety of ways, including authentic reading texts, listenings, and visuals.

Students are required to first deduce the meaning of individual words and phrases they encountered in the text before practicing them during listening and oral interaction tasks.
Pronunciation is not mentioned in teaching vocabulary.

Students are also encouraged to look at how different forms of words (verbs, adjectives, and nouns) can be built form the same root. -> enable them to expand their vocabularies independently.
Vocabulary is instructed as a means of other skills improvement.

Focus on both skill getting and skill using. Students can find common collocates that will help them to expand their personal lexican more rapidly. Tips: usage of some common words -> avoid common error in usage

INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS
New vocabulary is taught in Word Power section. It is presented in contexts. Vocabulary is presented as a means because after learning new words, students will have a chance to practice using them in speaking and writing activities. The book do not focus on strategies of guessing meanings of words. Vocabulary is presented deductively. Pronunciation is not mentioned in teaching vocabulary.

PRONUNCIATION

BUSINESS RESULT Tips on teaching pronunciation are provided where there is a logical need for them.

INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS Though pronunciation of words is not mentioned, intonation is introduced in the book. The cassettes can provide a good models for learners.
