Introduction of Nestle
The Nestle business began back in 1866 when the first factory of condensed milk was opened in Cham, Switzerland, by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company.

It was founded by Henri Nestl (1814 - 1890).

The first logo of Nestle was made in 1868.

Nestl has 461 factories in 83 countries around the world and 328000 employees.

Communication
At Nestle, usually communication occurs so that employees interact, cooperate and become more productive.
Mostly downward communication occurs, however there are no such barriers that prevent employees from upward communication. There is less written communication.

The use of internet and networked computers is also used widely for communication.

It exists between people at the same level of management.

Upward Communication:
In Upward Communication employees give their feedback to managers and then Managers make and present reports to TOP MANAGEMENT.

Communication Barriers

There are no such issues and barriers between communication. This is because Nestle has a very diversified workplace and in every region it has a work place so there do not usually such issues arise. Emotions sometime create barriers but usually there is a very optimistic and friendly workplace at Nestle.

Employees at Nestle enjoy working in teams to be more productive. That is the reason that they have a team comprising of more than 4500 individuals and their achievements make Nestle the largest organization of Pakistan. By working in teams many individuals express their own personal skills and the combined skills of all the employees create a history for the company because when these teams get success, company gets success.

Nestle has got the combination of leaders that are task oriented and leadership oriented. This shows that NESTLE have the leaders that perform better in all situations and can manage their teams more effective.

In Nestle the leadership style is participative in which the leader involves one or more employees in the decision making process. However, the leader is still responsible for the decisions that are made.

Power and Politics


Power is used only against employees who violate the laws of the company or create distraction in productivity. Otherwise there is a very optimistic culture in Organization of Nestle and people and management both like to work in the best interest of the company.

Nestle is one of the largest and oldest companies of the world.

It is still operating and earning market share which is because the operations and carried with honesty and the company is aimed to provide best quality.
The overall organizational behavior practices suggested in this paper reflect that it is a very ethical and organized company.
