John 15:1-4

am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. 3You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

TRUE -(althinos)
Denoting that the quality as a fundamental idea exists in abundance); hence is that which has truth for its base, is all which it pretends to be; genuine, real; true as opposed to what is apparent or fictitious; thus, God is (althinos) 2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Inasmuch as other gods are no gods. Very God, as distinguished from idols and all false gods. Hence the expression the true vine,

VINE (ampelos)

Christ calls himself a vine, because, as the vine imparts to its branches sap and productiveness, so Christ infuses into his followers his own divine strength and life.

Bear (pher)

To bear, hence, to produce fruit, to carry as a burden; to bear, endure, suffer pain, etc.; to sustain, support; to bring forward . 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it

Fruit (karpos)

That which originates or comes from something; an effect, result.

Prunes (purge) (kathair)

To cleanse from filth; as, for example, grain, by winnowing a tree, by pruning sin, by atonement or (expiation.- : to extinguish the guilt incurred.) GRACE. 1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.

Clean (katharos)
Pure from everything that would change or corrupt the nature of the subject with which it is combined, free from every foreign admixture. clean, free from impure admixture, without blemish in its kind, spotless, set clear

No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
