What is Education
The word education is derived from the Latin word educare which literally means to bring out. Thus education is a way can mean the bringing out and the development of all the inherent potentialities of an individual.

Education is the constructive factor for any society. It

open new horizon for the people to perceive things in different dimension. Through education we can understand the value of unity and discipline in life, and cooperate with one another in different fields of life.

Role of education
Education plays an important role in Political stability,

economic development , social progress, also provide necessary skills, shapes the personality of the peoples so they can play their part in the society.

Problems facing Education


Multiple Education System:
There are different education system is

working in Pakistan resulting in Social division & Conflicts. These are:

Cambidge school system:


The Foreign Education system for the

elite class, follow the O/A level Curriculum instead of Pakistans Domestic poor quality Curriculum

Secondary Education System:


This system is for Middle Class and for the poor people. This is provided by Government, and private Schools. if some one who gets good grades. Go for further admission for College of their preference. And the rest becomes Clerks, workers, sales person in a shop, or factory worker.

Madressah Education System:


In This system poverty restricts parents to send their Children's to public or private schools, so that they prefer to send their child in madressahs where education is free and provides religious education only.

Lack of Professional Teachers:


The grooming of less technical faculty and less coaching of teachers. Teachers are using only methods of Lectures only .Not using new methods of teaching, The Shortage of teachers & lack of merit in jobs also there is a gap between teachers & student ratio.

Drop outs
Only 30% who enroll in primary can reach their matriculation examination only. Due to unattractive & economic reason And results in large number of dropouts.

Poor examination system:


Our examination system is not regarding as an accurate measure of actual achievement & future performance. This poor (Copy culture system) spoiled our education standard. Unfortunately some parents helps in unfair means to pass the examinations but our educationists also been contaminated by this poison.

Inadequate facilities:
Over crowded Class rooms, Low standard, ill equipped laboratories, poor staff, lack of moderns books , lack of physical facilities (play grounds), under above conditions the standard can no be created.

Out dated Curriculum:


Our curriculum is not updated to compete with the rest of the wprld in this this modern education. This curriculum is not providing the scientific knowledge and not promoting the interest of the student toward practical work.

Supervision:
Most of our educators are not trained in administration & supervision. Supervision in Government institution and in some private institution is totally lacking. There is no such Check and balance of the institutions.

Educational Policies:
Various policies were introduced from time to time during different regime due to lack of implementation and inconsistency it showed no result. Teachers also ignored during policy making.

Insufficient Budget Allocation:


Pakistan is the only 12th country who spends less than 2%of its GDP. Also the provinces lack the financial resources to achieve the goal of primary education

Corruption:
Corruption is one of the major contributing factor in the failure of educational policies. Lack of accountability , transparency, and low salaries of staffs, payments of bribe. The ultimate corruption is sale of bogus, certificate and degrees.

Low enrollment Ratio:


The enrollment rate in Pakistan is 54% males and 30% females. Which is very low comparing to other countries of the region which have crossed by and large 100% for both male and female. Untrained teachers, inadequate material, obsolete teaching methods, Teachers absenteeism also leads to low enrollment rate.

Conclusion
Govt. is not taking keen interest in

importing Quality education. The main problems of Education is lack of Professional teachers, high drop outs, outdated curriculum, lack of accountability, multiple system, poor examinations process, political interference. Policies are made without taking into account the ground realities and without participation of the community. We are on the verge of destruction the only factor can build up our society is Education.
