À propos de cette série

(Book Three of the Legionnaire Series)

Stephen Anderson is at the top of his profession. An insurance investigator for the Worthor Corporation, Anderson has just recovered the burial mask of King Tutankhamun and earned a five- million-dollar reward. In addition, an unexpected lady in his life is rekindling feelings that have lain dormant for a long time.

But after several years of concealing a prior life in the French Foreign Legion, he has been recognized by a pair of vengeful fugitives who thought him long dead. Wanting to even the score, a wave of destruction and chaos is building, with Anderson and those close to him as the targets.

Anderson’s present life depends on his past remaining hidden. A fire bomb breaks his idyllic world wide open and sets him on a dark path, where his past collides with the present.

(Book One of the The Legionnaire Series) At a remote French Foreign Legion fort in the middle of the Algerian desert, Sergent Étienne Martin drinks himself numb every night. A paratrooper, talented soldier, and respected Non-Commissioned Officer, the alcohol is his way of escaping the oppressive atmosphere of the camp. Under the iron hand of Colonel Rochon, no breach of the rules is tolerated and fear rules the base. Anger, frustration, and desperation are the norm as Martin endures the last three years of his contract. Morale plummets, and desertions are frequent. Life inside the fort walls becomes an endless grind. Martin discovers millions of Euros have been taken from the fort accounts for personal gain. His duty demands he report this to his superiors. Discovering how widespread the conspiracy is, Martin must decide whether to stand against hopeless odds, or run to fight another day. - Voted "Outstanding in Genre" by Red Adept Select.

The golden burial mask of Tutankhamun was the most famous archaeological discovery of the 20th century. When it is stolen from the guarded hold of a cargo ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the impact of the crime threatens to destroy everything in one man's life. Stephen Anderson is living a lie. A former Sergent in the French Foreign Legion, he deserted after witnessing the murder of a fellow legionnaire at the hands of senior officers. After faking his death in the Algerian desert, Anderson believes he is safe but must maintain a low profile to avoid detection. He began a new life as an investigator for a large US insurance company, letting others take credit for the items he retrieves. Anderson is assigned as lead investigator by his insurance company to locate Tutankhamun's burial mask. The theft results in intense international press coverage, threatening to expose his hidden past. An attempt was made on his life immediately before the theft. Were the thieves trying to improve their odds of success, or is someone from his earlier life seeking revenge?
