Abstract
Achieving excellence, is not a destination, but a journey

Todays dynamic working conditions, intense business competition and sophisticated


technological changes have increased the significance of human resource talent in any
industry in gaining the competitive advantage. Organizational Change and Development
practices play an essential role in achieving excellence through human assets. OD practices
help the organizations to survive, compete and win the corporate warfare. OD helps to face
multiple challenges and threats like, i.e., turbulent environment, increased competition and
changing customer demands by maintaining appropriate technology, strategy, culture and
processes. And also facilitates in molding employees personal behaviour to face challenges;
such as finding job satisfaction in and at work, filling gaps in ones knowledge and skills,
maintaining dignity and purpose in the pursuit of organizational goals, and developing
connectedness and community in the workplace.
