PS-MS : découverte des CARTES, Discovering cards.
Objectif : découvrir, manipuler les cartes, dénombrer/reconnaitre
des collections et nommer les personnages. Discovering, handling cards,
counting / recognising suits and identifying characters.
Attendus : trier des couleurs, symboles, chiffres, personnages, etc.
Expected outcomes: sorting colours, symbols, numbers, characters etc.
+ PS : dénombrer des petites collections et reconnaitre les premiers chiffres.
+ PS : counting small suits and recognising their first numbers.
+ MS : dénombrer des collections plus grandes et reconnaitre les chiffres jusqu’ à 6.
+ MS : counting larger suits and recognising numbers.
Propositions d’activités, Activity proposal :
1. Sortir le jeu de carte et le ranger sans déchirer la boite.
2. Observer, manipuler, tourner les cartes.
3. Poser toutes les cartes d’un même coté.
Observer : il y a des personnages, des symboles, des
4. collections et des chiffres, à l’endroit et à l’envers.
Présenter les personnages : le roi, la reine et le valet.
5. Présenter les symboles : trèfle, pique, cœur, carreau
Et deux couleurs : noir et rouge.
6. Trier les cartes noires et les cartes rouges.
7. Trier les trèfles, pique, cœur, carreau.
Trier les cartes avec des chiffres et les cartes avec
8. personnages. Garder les cartes à chiffres.
Trier les 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, etc. Question : Où est le 1 ? Il n’y
9. en pas. Aux cartes, le chiffre 1 se dit : AS, et il est
remplacé par la lettre A.
10. Chercher tous les AS. Combien y en a-t-il ? 4.
Chercher le 4 de cœur.
Compter : combien de cœurs voit-on ?
Il y 4 grands et 2 petits.
11. Pour compter les symboles, il faut seulement
regarder les grands symboles au milieu.
PS et MS : en cas de difficultés pour dénombrer, vous
pouvez barrer au marqueur les petits symboles.
S’entrainer à dénombrer :
12. PS : des petites collections comme 2, 3, 4, etc.
MS : des collections plus grandes jusqu’à 10.
13. S’entrainer à reconnaitre des cartes vite, sans
dénombrer. PS : moins de 4 et MS : moins de 6.

Take out the cards without damaging the box and set them
aside.
Examine, handle and turn over the cards.
Lay all the cards down on the same side.
Observe: characters, symbols, collections and numbers.
Present the following characters: King, Queen, Jack.
Present the following symbols: clubs, spades, hearts,
diamonds.
And two colours:
black and red.
Sort black cards from red cards.
Sort clubs, spades, hearts and diamonds.
Sort cards with numbers and cards with characters. Keep
the cards with numbers.
Sort all cards with numbers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
Questions: where is 1? There are none. With cards, the
number 1 is called an Ace and is replaced with the letter A.
Find all the aces. How many are there? 4.
Find the 4 of hearts.
Counting : How many hearts can you see?
4 big hearts and two small hearts.
To count the symbols, you only need to look at the big
symbols at the centre of the card.
PS and MS: In case of difficulties with counting, you can
cross out the small symbols with a marker pen.
Learning to count :
PS : small suits such as 2,3,4 etc.
MS: larger suits going up to 10.
Learning to recognise cards quickly without counting. PS:
less than 4 and MS: less than 6.
