1. PERFORM IN THESE C O N D I T I O N S :

• Stop angina.

• Secura good ventilation (lf not, the gas leak de­

tector may react to volatile gases which are not

haust gas.)

• Repeat the test 2 or 3 times.

• Make sure there is s o rn e refrigerant remaining in

S U P P L E M E N T A L R E S T R A I N T SYSTEM

(SRS)

The TOYOT A T A C O M A is equipped with an SRS (Spp­

lemental Restraint System) such as the driver airbag.



Failure to carry out service operations the correct

sequence c o u l d cause the SRS to unexpectedly deplo­

yed during servicing, possibly leading to a serious

accident. Further, if a mistake is made in servicing the

SRS, it is possible the SRS may fail to operate when

required. Before servicing ( i n c l u d i n g removal or instal­

lation of parts, inspection or replacement), be sure to

read the fllowing item carefully, t h e n follow the cor­

rect procedure described in the repair m a n u a l.

gauge indicates 750 m m H g (30 i n . H g ) or more.



HINT: lf the reading is not 750 mmHg (30 in.Hg) or

more, close both hand valvas of manifold g a u g e set

and stop the vacuum p u m p .

Check the system for leaks and repair as necessary.

(e) Close both the high and low hand valvas and stop the

vacuum pump.

(f) Leave the system in this condition for 5 m i n u t e s or

longar and c h e c k that there is no gauge indicator.

follow the direction given in the instruction m a n u a l.

6. INSPECT REFRIGERATION SYSTEM FOR LEAKS

(a) Temperatura at the a i r inlet with the switch set at RECIRC is 30 - 35 º C (86 - 95 º F )

zero temperatura differ e n ce.
