5. Grammar

There are two forms for gender : masculine / feminine. One form only for plural.

le citron (m) un citron

la pomme (f) une pomme

les citrons , les pommes

All colors names have masculin gender : le rouge, le bleu, le jaune, …

All colors adjectives have gender, plural forms.

Les pommes vertes Des pommes vertes

Names and adjective color : the color is placed after the noun : la pomme verte

this is a special case. Actually adjectives are always placed before noun : le petit citron (the
small lemon). We‘ll see that next lesson.

Quel (which/what) is the only interrogative pronoun that has gender and plural

C’est , is a convenient form to describe something in singular, it comes from the verb to be ,
être :
