Installation du Processeur

Suivez cette procdure pour installer un processeur Intel dans le

paquet 775-land.
1. Appuyez sur le levier de chargement avec votre pouce (A), puis
dplacez-le vers le gauche (B) jusqu ce quil soit dtach de la
languette de retenue.

Pour viter dendommager les broches du socle, nenlevez le capuchon

PnP que si vous installez un processeur.
Veuillez conserver le capuchon pour le renvoi du produit.
La garantie du produit ne couvre pas des dommages lis aux broches
du support.

2. Soulevez le levier de chargement en direction de la flche un

angle de 135.
3. Soulevez la plaque de chargement avec votre pouce et votre
index un angle de 100, puis poussez le capuchon PnP pour le
faire sortir de la fentre de la plaque de chargement.
4. Placez le processeur sur le socle, en vrifiant que le triangle dor
est bien sur le coin infrieur gauche du socle. Le dtrompeur du
socle doit sinsrer dans lencoche du processeur.
5. Fermez la plaque de chargement, puis poussez le levier de
chargement jusqu ce quil senclenche dans la languette de
retenue.

Mmoire Systme

Vous pouvez installer des DIMM DDR2 GB unbuffered non-ECC de 256 MO,
512 Mo, 1 Go, et 2 Go dans les sockets.

Pour une configuration double canal, la taille totale des modules de
mmoire installs par canal doit tre identique (DIMM_A1 = DIMM_
B1).

Installez toujours des DIMM dots de la mme valeur CAS latency. Pour
une compatibilit optimale, il est recommand dacheter des modules
mmoire de mme marque.
Cette carte mre ne supporte pas les modules de mmoire faits de
puces de 128 Mo ou double face x16.

Informations du BIOS

Franais

La ROM Flash sur la carte mre contient un BIOS. Vous pouvez mettre jour
les informations du BIOS ou configurer ses paramtres en utilisant lutilitaire
de Setup du BIOS. Les crans BIOS comprennent les cls de navigation et une
courte aide en ligne pour vous guider. Si vous rencontrez des problmes lis
au systme ou si le systme devient instable une fois que vous aurez modifi
les paramtres, chargez les Paramtres de Rglage Par Dfaut. Rendez visite
au site web dASUS (www.asus.com) pour obtenir les mises jour.

Pour accder au Setup lors du dmarrage:

Pressez <Suppr> lors du Test Automatique de Dmarrage (POST : Power-On

Self Test ). Si vous ne pressez pas la touche <Suppr>, le POST continuera
son programme de test.

Pour accder au Setup aprs le POST:

Redmarrez le systme en pressant <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Suppr>, puis pressez

<Suppr> lors du POST, ou
Pressez le bouton de rinitialisation situ sur le chssis puis pressez
<Suppr> lors du POST, ou
Eteignez et rallumez le systme puis pressez <Suppr> lors du POST.

Pour mettre jour le BIOS avec AFUDOS:

Bootez le systme laide dune disquette qui contient le dernier fichier

BIOS. A louverture de la session DOS, saisissez afudos /i<filename.rom>
puis pressez Entre. Rebootez le systme lorsque la mise jour sera
termine.

Pour mettre jour le BIOS avec ASUS EZ Flash:

Bootez le systme puis pressez <Alt> + <F2> lors du POST pour lancer EZ Flash.
Insrez la disquette qui contient le dernier fichier BIOS. EZ Flash effectuera le
processus de mise jour du BIOS et rebootera automatiquement le systme
une fois quil aura termin.

Pour rcuprer le BIOS avec CrashFree BIOS 2:

Dmarrez le systme. si le BIOS est corrompu, loutil de rcupration

automatique de CrashFree BIOS 2 vrifie la prsence dune disquette ou dun
CD pour restaurer le BIOS. Insrez le CD de support de la carte mre, ou une
disquette contenant le fichier dorigine ou la dernire version du BIOS. Rebootez
le systme une fois le BIOS restaur.

Informations sur le CD technique

Cette carte mre supporte les systmes dexploitation Windows 2000/XP.

Installez toujours la dernire version dOS et les mises jour correspondantes
de manire maximiser les caractristiques de votre hardware.
Le CD technique livr avec la carte mre contient des logiciels et de nombreux
pilotes et utilitaires qui amliorent les fonctions de la carte mre. Pour utiliser
le CD technique, insrez-le simplement dans votre lecteur CD-ROM. si Autorun
est activ dans votre ordinateur, le CD affiche automatiquement lcran de
bienvenue et les menus dinstallation. Si lcran de bienvenue napparat pas
automatiquement, localisez le fichier ASSETUP.EXE dans le dossier BIN du CD
technique et double-cliquez dessus.

Installieren der CPU

Folgen Sie diesen Schritten, um einen Intel Prozessor auf dem LGA 775Sockel zu installieren.

Heben Sie den Ladehebel in Pfeilrichtig bis zu einem Winkel von 135 Grad
hoch.
Heben Sie die Ladeplatte mit dem Daumen und dem Zeigefinger bis zu
einem Winkel von 100 Grad hoch. Drcken Sie die PnP-Kappe von der
Ladeplattenaussparung, um sie zu entfernen.
Legen Sie die CPU auf den Sockel. Richten Sie dabei das goldene Dreieck auf
die untere linke Ecke des Sockels aus. Die Sockelausrichtungsmarkierung
muss in die CPU-Kerbe einpassen.
Machen Sie die Ladeplatte zu und drcken dann den Ladehebel, bis er in
den Halteriegel einrastet.

Sie knnen 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, und 2 GB ungepufferte nicht-ECC DDR2
DIMMs in den DIMM-Sockeln installieren.

Bei Dual-Channel-Konfigurationen muss die Gesamtgre der in den

jeweiligen Kanlen installierten Speichermodule identisch sein (DIMM_A1

optimale Kompatibilitt wird empfohlen, die Arbeitsspeichermodule

BIOS-Informationen

Das BIOS ist in einem Flash-ROM auf dem Motherboard gespeichert. Sie knnen
mit Hilfe des BIOS-Setupprogramms die BIOS-Informationen aktualisieren oder
die Parameter konfigurieren. Auf den BIOS-Seiten finden Sie Navigationstasten
und eine kurze Online-Hilfe. Laden Sie bitte die Standardwerte (Setup-Defaults),
wenn Systemprobleme auftreten oder das System unstabil geworden ist,
nachdem die Einstellungen gendert wurden. Besuchen Sie die ASUS-Website
(www.asuscom.de/bios) fr die jeweils aktuellste BIOS-Version.

Aufrufen des Setupprogramms beim Starten:

Drcken Sie die Taste <Entf> whrend des Einschaltselbsttests (POST);

ansonsten setzt der POST seine Testroutinen fort.

drcken anschlieend die Eingabetaste. Starten Sie das System neu, nachdem
die Aktualisierung vervollstndigt wurde.

Aktualisieren des BIOS mit ASUS EZ Flash:

Booten Sie das System neu und drcken <Alt> + <F2> whrend des POST,
um EZ Flash zu starten. Legen Sie die Diskette, die die neueste BIOS-Datei
enthlt, ein. EZ Flash fhrt den BIOS-Aktualisierungsprozess aus und startet
das System automatisch nach dem Vervollstndigen des Prozesses neu.

So stellen Sie das BIOS mit CrashFree BIOS 2 wieder her:

Starten Sie das System. Falls die BIOS-Datei beschdigt ist, sucht das
CrashFree BIOS 2-Wiederherstellungsprogramm nach einer Diskette oder CD,
mit der das BIOS wieder hergestellt werden kann. Legen Sie die Support-CD
des Motherboards, oder eine Diskette mit der ursprnglichen oder einer
neueren BIOS-Datei ein. Starten Sie das System neu, wenn das BIOS wieder
hergestellt ist.

Informationen ber die Software Support CD

Das Motherboard untersttzt die Windows 2000/XP-Betriebssysteme.

Verwenden Sie bitte immer die jeweils letzte Version des Betriebssystems
und fhren ggf. die notwendigen Aktualisierungen durch, um die maximale
Leistung Ihrer Hardware zu erhalten.
Die dem Motherboard beigefgte Support CD beinhaltet ntzliche Software und
einige Utility-Treiber, die die Funktionen des Motherboards verstrken. Legen
Sie einfach die CD in Ihr CD-ROM-Laufwerk ein. Ein Begrungsbild, sowie ein
Installationsmen, erscheinen automatisch, wenn die Autorun-Funktion in Ihrem
System aktiviert ist. Falls das Begrungsfenster nicht automatisch erscheint,
klicken Sie bitte doppelt auf die Datei ASSETUP.EXE in dem BIN-Ordner auf
der Support CD, um das Installationsmen aufzurufen.

Attenersi alle seguenti fasi per installare un processore Intel nel pacchetto
775.

Premere la levetta di carico con il pollice (A), poi spostarla e sinistra (B)

Sollevare la levetta di carico nella direzione indicata dalla freccia ad un

anglo di 135.
Sollevare la placca di carico con il pollice e lindice ad un angolo di 100,
poi spingere la copertura PnP dalla placca di carico per rimuoverla.
Collocare la CPU sopra la presa, assicurandosi che il triangolo dorato si
trovi nellangolo in basso a sinistra della presa. Il tasto di allineamento
della presa deve adattarsi alla dentellatura della CPU.
Chiudere la placca di carico, poi spingere la leva di carico finch scatta
nella linguetta di trattenimento.

Informazioni sul BIOS

La Flash ROM sulla scheda madre contiene il BIOS. possibile aggiornare

le informazioni del BIOS, o configurare i parametri utilizzando lutilit di
configurazione BIOS Setup. La schermata BIOS include tasti di navigazione ed
una concisa guida in linea. Se si riscontrano problemi con il sistema, oppure
se questo diventa instabile dopo avere modificato le impostazioni, caricare le
impostazioni predefinite di configurazione Setup Defaults. Visitare la pagina
Web ASUS (www.asus.com) per gli aggiornamenti.

Per accedere al Setup allavvio:

Premere il tasto <Delete> durante il POST (Power On Self Test). Se non si

preme il tasto <Delete>, il POST continua le sue routine di diagnostica.

Per accedere al Setup dopo il POST:

Riavviare il sistema premendo i tasti <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Delete>, poi premere

il tasto <Delete> durante il POST, oppure
Premere il tasto di ripristino sul telaio, poi premere il tasto <Delete> durante
il POST, oppure
Spegnere e riaccendere il sistema e poi premere il tasto <Delete> durante
il POST

Per aggiornare il BIOS con AFUDOS:

riavvia automaticamente il sistema.

Per ripristinare il BIOS con CrashFree BIOS 2:

Avviare il sistema. Se il BIOS corrotto lo strumento di ripristino automatico

di CrashFree BIOS 2 cerca un dischetto floppy o un CD per ripristinare il BIOS.
Inserire il CD di supporto della scheda madre, oppure un dischetto floppy che
contenga il file BIOS originale o pi aggiornato. Riavviare il sistema quando il
BIOS ripristinato.

Informazioni sul CD di supporto al

Software

Questa scheda madre supporta un sistema operativo (OS) Windows 2000/XP

.
Installate sempre lultima versione OS e gli aggiornamenti corrispondenti, in
modo da massimizzare le funzioni del vostro hardware.
Il CD di supporto in dotazione alla scheda madre contiene dei software utili
e diversi utility driver che potenziano le funzioni della scheda madre. Per
cominciare a usare il CD di supporto, basta inserire il CD nel CD-ROM drive. Il
CDmostra automaticamente lo schermo di benvenuto e i menu dellinstallazione
se Autorun attivato nel vostro computer. Se lo schermo di benvenuto non
compare automaticamente, trovate e cliccate due volte il file ASSETUP.EXE
dalla cartella BIN nel CD di supporto per mostrare i menu.

Instalacin de la CPU

Siga estos pasos para instalar un procesador Intel en el paquete 775-land.

Levante la palanca de carga en la direccin de la flecha, hasta llegar a

un ngulo de 135.
Levante la placa de carga con el pulgar y con el ndice hasta alcanzar un
ngulo de 100, a continuacin, presione la tapa PnP desde la ventana
de la placa de carga para extraerla.
Coloque la CPU sobre el zcalo, asegrandose de que el tringulo dorado
se encuentra en la esquina inferior izquierda del zcalo. La llave de
alineacin debera encajar en el orificio de la CPU.
Cierre la placa de carga, a continuacin, pulse la palanca de carga hasta
que quede encajada en la pestaa de retencin.

Memoria de sistema

Puede instalar mdulos DIMM DDR2 de 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB, y 2 GB sin ECC

Informacin de la BIOS

Inicie el sistema y pulse <Alt> + <F2> durante el POST para ejecutar EZ Flash.

Informaii despre BIOS

Memoria Flash ROM de pe placa de baz conine BIOS-ul. Putei actualiza

informaia sau parametrii din BIOS folosind funcia de instalare BIOS
(BIOS Setup). Ecranele BIOS includ taste de navigaie i scurt ajutor
on-line pentru a v ghida. Dac ntlnii probleme de sistem, sau dac
sistemul devine instabil dup ce ai schimbat setrile, ncrcai valorile
de configurare predefinite (Setup Defaults). Vizitai situl ASUS (www.
asus.com) pentru actualizri.

Pentru a intra n meniul de instalare (Setup) la pornire:

Apsai pe tasta <Delete> n timpul procedurii de Power-On Self Test (POST).

Dac nu apsai pe <Delete>, POST continu cu rutinele de testare.

Pentru a intra n meniul de instalare (Setup) dup POST:

Restartai sistemul apsnd pe <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Delete>, apoi apsai

pe <Delete> n timpul rulrii POST, sau
Apsai pe butonul de reiniializare de pe carcas, apoi apsai pe <Delete>

Pentru a actualiza BIOS cu AFUDOS:

Pornii sistemul de pe o dischet care conine ultima variant de fiier BIOS. La

apariia prompterului de DOS, tastai afudos /i<filename> i apsai pe tasta
Enter. Repornii sistemul atunci cnd actualizarea este complet.

Pentru a actualiza BIOS cu ASUS EZ Flash:

Pornii sistemul i apsai <Alt> + <F2> n timpul POST pentru a lansa EZ

Flash. Introducei o dischet ce conine ultima variant de fiier BIOS. EZ Flash
execut procesul de actualizare al BIOS-ului i repornete automat sistemul
cnd procesul s-a ncheiat.

Pentru a recupera BIOS-ul cu ajutorul CrashFree BIOS 2:

Pornii sistemul. Dac BIOS-ul este corupt, utilitarul de autorecuperare

CrashFree BIOS 2 verific existena unei dischete sau a unui CD pentru a
restaura BIOS-ul. Introducei CD-ul de suport al plcii de baz, sau o dischet
care s conin fiierul BIOS original sau pe cel mai recent. Repornii sistemul
dup ce BIOS-ul a fost recuperat.

Informaii n legtur cu CD-ul cu suport

software

Aceast plac de baz suporta sistemele de operare (OS) Windows

2000/XP.
Instalai ntotdeauna ultima versiune de OS i actualizrile corespunztoare
pentru a putea optimiza caracteristicile componentelor hardware.
CD-ul de suport care a fost livrat mpreun cu placa de baz conine programe
utile i mai multe drivere utilitare care sporesc caracteristicile plcii de baz.
Pentru a ncepe utilizarea CD-ului de suport, pur i simplu introducei CDul n unitatea CD-ROM. CD-ul afieaz automat un ecran de ntmpinare i
meniurile de instalare dac funcia Pornire automat (Autorun) este activat
pe calculatorul dvs. Dac ecranul de ntmpinare nu a aprut automat, localizai
i deschidei prin dublu clic fiierul ASSETUP.EXE din directorul BIN de pe CD-ul
de suport pentru a afia meniurile.

BIOS

Flash ROM na matinoj ploi sadri BIOS. Parametre BIOS-a moete promeniti
pomou uslunog programa. Ekrani BIOS-a podravaju navigaciju putem
tastature i kratka objanjenja svakog od parametara. Ukoliko va sistem ima
probleme, ili je posta nestabilan posle promena parametara, odaberite opciju
Load Setup Defaults. etvrto poglavlje uputstva sadri detaljne informacije
o podeavanju BIOS-a. Posetite ASUS sajt (yu.asus.com) i potraite najnoviju
verziju BIOS-a.

Pokretanje podeavanja BIOS-a:

Pritisnite <Delete> taster tokom Power-On Self Test (POST) ekrana. Ukoliko
ne pritisnete <Delete> taster, POST nastavlja sa normalnim podizanjem
sistema.

Ulazak u BIOS posle POST ekrana:

Resetujte sistem drei <Ctrl> + <Alt> + <Delete>, a potom uite u

BIOS toko POST ekrana pritiskajui <Delete>, ili
Resetujte sistem pritiskom na Reset taster na kuitu, a potom uite u

Enter. Resetujte sistem posle izvrenja programa.

Snimanje nove verzije BIOS-a uz pomo ASUS EZ Flash:

Startujte sistem i tokom POST ekrana pritisnite <Al t> + <F2> za pokretanje
Ez Flash programa. Ubacite disketu sa najnovijom verzijom BIOS-a. EZ Flash
ce obaviti snimanje nove verzije i automatski resetovati sistem.

Oporavak BIOS-a uz pomo CrashFree BIOS 2:

Podignite sistem. Ako postoji problem sA BIOS-om CrashFreeBIOS2 e pokuati
da uita ispravnu verziju BIOS-a sa dikete ili CD-a. Ubacite pratei CD ili disketu
sa originalnom ili novijom verzijom BIOS-a. Resetujte sistem posle oporavka
BIOS-a.
