Rsum
dune circulation dordre temporel.
linscription graphique devient souvenir.

Abstract
By reinvesting the notion of triviality (Jeanneret, 2008), I want to show that the book fairs, in
particular Le Livre sur la Place in Nancy, are a relevant laboratory of study to observe the modes
of circulation of the book and the reading. For that purpose, I identify three levels. The first one
corresponds to the spatial circulation of the book and the reading outside the institutional and
professional places to which they are usually associated. The second one is also connected to a
circulation of spatial type. But, this time, it concerned the face of the writer and the various
mediations which connect the author to the reader. The last one derives from a circulation of
temporal order. It is about sessions of book-signing during which the graphic inscription becomes
a souvenir. In what case does the triviality create a new relationship to the reading, to the writer
and to the book ? That is the question which guides the comment.
