Acting Theatre Practicum
Instructed BFA Acting students performing major roles for their senior thesis capstone projects,
supervised the lab component of their thesis and provided assessments to the program head and
advisor.
Supervised and instructed undergraduate costume, lighting, and set design majors in techniques
of director/designer collaboration and served as liaison to their advisors.
Supervised new undergraduate stage management students and consulted with their advisor on
assessment and progress.
Performance Workshop
Instruct and supervise BFA acting majors on interpretation, analysis, and performance of
contemporary short plays, culminating in a performance of the Gi60 International One Minute
Theatre Festival, US Edition.
Instruct BA Stage Management students in the organization and management of rehearsals with
up to 20 actors in 50 short plays, as well as tech and performance.
Collaborate with festival producer and technical staff on design elements and technology;
includes coordination of filming and live streaming of festival to an international audience,
consulting with editors post-festival on choices and reviewing content for final footage to be
downloaded to Gi60 YouTube Channel.

Coach students in a classroom script analysis and production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream to
demonstrate how performance techniques influence interpretation, analysis and research.
Manage poetry reading and performance series.
Professional Communication
Lead class discussions and demonstrations on the steps of achieving employment, from
interview and speaking engagement techniques to writing cover letters and resumes.
Conflict Analysis and Resolution
Explore various methods of resolving conflict through collaborative group exercises and debates
that illuminate aspects of communication, connection, and conflict so that students can
demonstrate active listening and focused, productive resolutions.
Technical Business Communication
Guide students in the steps of creating a business proposal, following the writing process
through each section focusing on drafting and revision techniques.
Prepare students to present their proposals for local business leaders who give feedback on both
the written and speech portions.
Transformative Learning
Equip students to actively engage in the college experience so that they can succeed academically
within their major and courses, but also encourage extracurricular and leadership opportunities
that allow students to improve their chances of success in the job market.

Scene Study
Directed students in a series of theater scenes, reviewing methods of character analysis and acting
techniques.
Presented final scenes to faculty and student body, followed by an onstage Q&A and discussion.
Improvisation Techniques
Led improvisation exercises aimed at strengthening impulses and self-trust, improving public
speaking, and reducing performance anxiety.

Lead professional and retired dancers and performers in class discussions on literature, textual
interpretive analysis, and writing process and techniques.
Guide students in developing their understanding, as performing artists, of their chosen art form
through an investigation of a social or performing arts issue.
Incorporate the history of performing arts, as well as personal history in the field, into a research
project that culminates in a presentation of their investigative experiences before submitting a
final essay that integrates personal history and research.
English Composition
Teach writing techniques, including different styles of academic essays, leading to a research
paper.

Gi60 Live US Edition
Associate Producer (2008-Present)
Collaborate with producers, directors, undergraduate and graduate students from Brooklyn College,
professional guest artists, and students and faculty from Leeds University and York College in the UK
on the live performance of 100 new one minute plays which are also recorded and downloaded for
viewing on YouTube (Gi60 Channel) and Gi60.com.
Read and select plays from playwrights around the world to direct for the festival.
Contribute to the exchange program between Brooklyn College and Leeds University UK, allowing
students from the US Edition to perform in the UK.
Assist in management of auditions, lighting, scenic, and sound design and the development of the
program.
