En premier lieu, vous devez faire une demande de bourse
dans votre pays de provenance.
En cas de réponse négative, vous pouvez faire une
demande de bourse à l’EPFL. Ces bourses peuvent être
demandées à partir de la deuxième année à l’EPFL et sont
octroyées sous certaines conditions et à un nombre très
restreint d’étudiants.
D’autres bourses sont également disponibles.
L’horaire hebdomadaire compte environ
• 32 heures de cours, exercices et travaux pratiques
• 15-20 heures de travail personnel régulier (sans compter les
préparations d’examens)
Avec une charge hebdomadaire de 50-60 heures, il est difficile
de concilier travail et études.
La police cantonale des étrangers autorise les étudiants
étrangers à travailler à raison de:
• 15 heures/semaine durant la période de cours
• A plein temps durant les vacances universitaires

Ressortissants UE: Permis de travail peut être délivrée dès le

début du séjour.
Ressortissants non-UE: Permis de travail peut être délivrée 6
mois après le début du séjour.

As a foreigner, you should submit a scholarship request in
your country first, if your country refuses, you can apply for
an EPFL scholarship. The EPFL grants scholarships to a
very limited number of students, only during their second
year and under certain conditions.
Your weekly schedule as a student :
• 32 hours of lectures, assignments and practical exercises
• 15-20 hours of preparation for courses (not including exam
preparation)
N.B. It is difficult to work whilst studying 50-60 hours per week.

Other scholarships are also available. The law authorizes foreign students to work up to:
• 15 hours per week during the semester
