(d) The length of survey line was measured with 20 m. chain and
measures to be 1500 meters. After chaining chain found to be 0.10 m.
too long After chaining 2200 meters chain found to 0.20m. too
long. Chain was correct before commencement of work. Find true
distance measured.
3. Attempt any two of the following :— 16
(a) Explain Bowditch’s rule for closing of traverase ? and also explain
methods of Plotting traver.
(b) Explain the system of measurement of bearing of lines using
prismatic compass.
(c) Write the accessories of level.
(d) Explain rise and fall method.
4. Solve any two of the following :–– 16
(a) Define a survey station and mention the point which are to be
attended to while making its final location.
(b) What is planimeter ? Write its uses. Describe the types of stations.
(c) The following consecutive readings were taken with a level and
staff 2.850, 2.000, 1.200, 0.850, 2.750, 1.800, 0.450, 2.300, 1.100
record the readings in the level book, find reduce levels at each
station. Take RL of bench mark 101.000.
(d) Write any two methods of plane table surveying.
