La Commission lance aujourd'hui une consultation publique sur les performances du
cadre législatif actuel de lutte antitabac et sur les possibilités d'amélioration de ce cadre. Cela donne l'occasion aux citoyens et aux partis intéressés d'exprimer leurs points de vue. La Commission poursuit ses efforts visant à réduire la consommation de tabac conformément à l'objectif fixé dans le Plan européen de lutte contre le cancer visant à créer une génération sans tabac en Europe, où moins de 5 % de la population consomme du tabac d'ici à 2040.
