Relative level setting switch

For each VF channel, there are transmit level setting switches and receive
level setting switches in two groups (24-pin jumpers) (channel 1 is
corresponding to S1 and S2; channel 2 is corresponding to S3 and S4), the
regulating range is 0- 31.5dB, and the regulating step is 0.5dB.
25 , 40

BX10 Integrated Service Platform

The attenuator is composed of 6-section resistor network and the attenuation

of each section is 0.5db, 1db, 2db, 4db, 8db, 16db respectively. Each section
is corresponding to two lines of contact pins and the attenuator of certain
section is switched on if the pins are plugged into the lower part of the
switch. The sum of the attenuation of all sections is the attenuation of the
whole attenuator.
The 2W4WCHUC is in 2W mode in default, whose transmit level is 0dBr
and receive level is - 3.5dBr. The voice channel setting may be changed as
follows:

The transmit and receive levels of 2W/4W is suggested adopt the

default setup.

BX10_FXOC
It has level adjusting switches at the transmit and receive directions. There are
4 jumpers in the vertical direction, forming the upper group and lower group.
The upper groups are regulating switches in the transmitting direction and the
lower groups are the regulating switches for the receiving direction. 4dB
interface level attenuation could be added to corresponding direction via the
regulating switches. See the following figures for the position of the short
circuitor and it is 0dB level attenuations.

When the short circuitor is plugged on 3, 4dB interface level attenuation is

added to the transmit direction of voice channel 1; if it is plugged on 2, 4dB
interface level attenuation is added to the receive direction of voice channel 1.
When the short circuitor is plugged on 7, 4dB interface level attenuation is
added to the transmit direction of voice channel 2; if it is plugged on 6, 4dB
interface level attenuation is added to the receive direction of voice channel 2.

BX10_EMC
The meanings of the panel indicator lights are the same as that of CHUFXOC
and CHUFXSC.
EMC decides to use which one of the five types of cards through jumper
switch.
The way of setting single channel of EMC is given below and it is the same
for the remote end. Take 1E1M as an example, A3, A4, A6, A7, A8 are the
common control switches of E1M1 and E2M2. It is the same for the 2E2M
setting.
A. Set it to the first type of EM: apply short circuitor to A3; do not apply short
circuitor to A4, A6, A7 and A8; plug short circuitor into the lower half of
SW1. Line E and line F of this board are connected with line E and line M of
the exchange respectively, and E is connected with M, M with E and SB with

interface card, V.35 synchronous data interface card.
2.7.1 DATA

Functional Description:
1.

Each DATA provides four slots for V.35 data interface card, 10BASE T Ethernet interface card and RS232/485 data interface card.

2.

The DATA does not provide any interface, but it may be added with
interface cards. For instance, it could provide V.35 interface with v.35
data interface card plugged, RS232/485 data interface with RS232/485
interface card plugged and 10BASE-T Ethernet interface with
10BASE-T Ethernet interface card plugged. The above three kinds of
cards may be plugged into the same data interface board. The data
board could provide four V.35 interfaces, four 10BASE - T Ethernet
interfaces and eight RS232/485 interfaces at most.

Notice: RS232 data port should be well grounded or serial port isolator
is added so that RS232 data port will not be burnt out.
3.

V.35 data interface and 10BASE-T Ethernet interface could be set to

N64k (n=1-31) dynamic data channel. RS232/485 data interface may
be set to 64K data channel.
