l'assume-t-on plus comme une nature mais, de plus en plus, comme le resultat d'un
calcul. Goffman ne dit pas autre chose. Et le jeu des anticipationsreciproquesauquel
Sennett fait allusion comme a une delivrance, renvoie au contrairea une conception de
I'intimitequi peut etre aussi totalitaireque la tyrannie denoncee par ce livre.
En negligeant la dimension strategique,Sennett ne fait qu'une partie de la gen6alogie
du sentiment d'authenticite.
